Re: Fans Forum with Ince and Bowen next Thursday

Thanks to those who attended in person or by zoom. Yes, we did have some tech issues on zoom, sorry about that. Tricky to make these things work as hybrid live and zoom events. We're not doing a 'transcript' this time - you have to be there for the full monty - but there is a report on the STAR webs...

Re: Fans Forum with Ince and Bowen next Thursday

A STAR membership gives you free travel on all public transport in the UK. Just got arrested by BTP, they wouldn’t accept my membership card as proof I didn’t need a ticket. Speaking to the FSF and hopefully they will cover my legal costs. I have already referred the BTP to Pepe’s post as proof. Pl...

Following on from the best XI topic what about the best you have seen and perhaps limit to 2 per section: Best Attacking: Reading 8 Southport 0 in 1970 (bear in mind we had lost 6-2 in the corresponding away fixture) Reading 6 West Ham 0- can't remember the year but it was against Pardew's team in ...

Re: Any Reading historians out there?

Since the club Have decided to no longer produce a match day program. I have taken it upon myself to try and get one program from every season after the Second World War. My most recent purchase was a home program From the 1948 to 1949 season. On the front cover it says established 1876? As we all ...

Re: Twenty’s Plenty

Pretty sure WBA charge away fans £20 already. STAR understands that a couple more northern clubs might be coming on board too. We made the point in a radio interview this morning that we’ve seen a shift on this now because the club has withdrawn automatic reciprocal pricing and because STAR has enc...

Re: Sir John & Steve Coppell Statue

Something like this would need a bit more than ‘looking into the cost’. You can’t just pop into your local statue shop and pick on up..... IIRC There was a suggestion to put a Robin Friday statue up sometime ago. Became obvious that it would be incredibly expensive with all sorts of extras to consi...

Re: When will Star hold the owners to account?

There's a few things that are going the way we'd like to see, potentially. Not least staying up! The return of Mark Bowen - we hope he will act as the spokesman for the football side of the club and fill in that communications gap. Brian Carey might tighten up the recruitment process and bring it mo...

It’d be good to win this cup in our 150th year as it was the first trophy we ever won in 1879. And we’ve only won it three times,

They are really big on cocaine usage. Is this a recent problem within football grounds? Went to a match at Millwall - in the home stand  - couple of years ago, state of some people - and the toilets! Cocaine usage clearly seen at EFL level as a growing problem - feeds into the sense of a 'pa...
