Re: CONFIMRED - Dave Edwards

NewCorkSeth Kelly's tenacious and creative but he can get dominated too easily sometimes and he hasn't scored loads.

Physical teams target Kelly. Result he gets subbed early in the game. Has a great future. Needs to spend time in the gym first though.

Re: 8.00 Evening kick offs

Sport Economist only to have to make a mad rush for it afterwards so not to get home too late.

It's only "15 minutes" a few times a year. Guess you never manage to watch midweek away games then.

Sounds as if Preston will sell. The price is rising though. As the bids come in.

Re: BFTG - Birmingham City

As the away side that was an outstanding performance today. Keeping the home fans quiet. Dominating play for long periods. Once we took the lead and the game opened up. There was only ever going to be one winner. Bacuna and Barrow both added something to the side today. Jaap's project is really star...

Re: The Stam passing game

Snowflake Royal I'm beginning to think I don't want anymore signings, because someone I want to see perform will suffer for anyone who comes in now.

Quinn may be on his way out. With Edwards signing we have a better mix of experience and youth in midfield.

McCleary looked well off the pace at times last night.

Quinn was a welcome return.

Re: Is Stam getting unsettled?

windermereROYAL Reading have struggled to retain and recruit players and, as a result, only named six out of a possible seven substitutes on their opening day trip to Queens Park Rangers.

Poor journalism. Injury crisis. Story over nothing. Move on.

Re: Rumour - Tomer Hemed

Just confirmed. Brighton have signed Ghana striker Raphael Dwamena from FC Zurich. Suggests that deal maybe possible. £12m apparently, that's a fcuking huge gamble on a player who, albeit with an impressive goalscoring record in the second tier of Swiss and Austrian football, has never played top f...

genome
17/18 - Beerens, McCleary (unfit), Popa, Harriott (injured), Barrow

4 right footed

1 left footed (injured)

Has a certain logic to bring him back.

Re: The Stam passing game

Our problem is in midfield. That's our priority area for me. We need someone who can dictate the pace of the game from the middle of the park, ensure the team move as a unit and is intelligent enough to be able to turn possession into attack very quickly. We could buy any striker you like, we aren'...

Re: Back From The Match - Preston

I thought we improved in the second half. If we played like that the whole game we would not have lost. I can't understand people saying Preston should have won by more. They weren't much better than us. Bacuna got more involved in the second half. Preston aren't a great team. Played to their stren...

Re: The Stam passing game

Passing game is fine. Though as was the case today. Too many poor passes were made. Players having too many touches before moving the ball on. A lack of tempo in our play. An inability to stretch the opposition defence. When the passing game doesn't work or we do find ourselves a goal down. What's P...

Re: Back From The Match - Preston

This was a poor performance. The starting line up in midfield/attack totally lacked physicality. Preston got in the players faces from the off and it showed throughout.

At the very least a defensive midfield player has to be found before the window shuts. JVB appearing somewhat injury prone.
