Re: BFTG - Cardiff

In hockey (field hockey) they have green cards for minor offences like appealing to the umpire too much etc. The player gets the green card and is sent off for 2 minutes (or more for repeat offences). The game restarts straight away (even with the player still running off the pitch). The clock for ...

Re: Will we get found out again?

I'd we do stick with 3-5-2, does Blackett effectively become a CB option when fit? McIntyre seems like the only current backup option Gomes trusts, do this would make sense if Richards and Obita can cover LWB. Some of Blackett's best performances under Stam came as the left sided CB in 3-5-2

Re: BFTG - Cardiff

yes noticed 3 of the first 4 photos on the official highlight exactly what I was getting at in terms of 'foul play' from their CBs on the bright side - very encouraging that Puscas can face up to two such physical CBs and come out on top in his first full league game When you talk about adapting to...

Re: CONFIMRED - Ovie Ejaria

If we can get this guy for £3m it will be the bargain of this or any other century. he has limitless potential if Sunday was anything to go by. Not much IF about it is there. We're obligated to buy him. I've heard from some of my inside contacts at both clubs Liverpool are looking to tie him down a...

Re: CONFIMRED - Ovie Ejaria

He's already living up to expectations. By the end of the season, I expect Brentford fans will be lamenting their decision not to invest any of the Maupay fees in him. So chuffed we got him.

Re: Will we get found out again?

Bout the same for me. Martinez and Baker would improve us. I think we’re considerably better, or at least should be Martinez is as good as you’ll get at this level, and not seen much of Rafael so would have Emi Baker was a fantastic player but you could see how much Pele freed up the other 2 yester...

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

BBC News - Bury FC: Part of our family for four generations https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-49372359 This is a very sad article; shows the role of football clubs in communities and how in some relationships it's more than a game. Relegations are sad but ultimately a setback clubs can recover fro...

I sincerely hope Rinomhota at RWB is a rarely repeated experiment. We have an experienced player, known for his fitness and athleticism, who can do that role if Yiadom is unavailable. We also have an academy prospect.

Re: Will we get found out again?

Can we play down comparisons with Clarke's blistering start in 15/16? There are several major differences for me: 1) Nick Blackman had the best 6 weeks of his career, but let's be honest, we all knew at the time it wouldn't last. We found it hilarious when Derby paid us £3m or so in January (the sam...

Re: Will we get found out again?

This is a new formation with a lot of new players. People who are not paying attention still have us favourites for relegation. Modern scouting will find us out in time, but we've probably got a bit of time to enjoy it. Plan B is 4-3-3 with Meite, Boye, Olise and possibly Barrett as wide options. I ...

Re: BFTG - Cardiff

The first goal was an awesome solo effort, but I think the second showed what we've desperately been missing for years. He ran across the near post, beat his man to it and tucked it home. The sort of goal you'd see clinical strikers like Shearer and Van Nistelrooy score. From what I've seen, get goo...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (h) sponsored by Adam Federici

I hope Rino has a knock or some logical explanation. There are some decisions you make as a manager which just creates bad faith with the fans. If Rino is fully fit and we lose today, it's a terrible call.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (h) sponsored by Adam Federici

I'd go 5-3-2 for this; 3 CBs will help withstand the Warnock aerial barrage and it's a natural way to fit in Puscas and Joao in their best position. Rafael Yiadom Moore Miazga Morrison Richards Rino Ejaria Swift Joao Puscas Yiadom and Richards would have to show attacking intent to give us width, wh...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wycombe Wanderers (a) sponsored by Lawrie Sanchez

I know people may be disappointed we didn't do it in 90 minutes, but look across tonight's results. These games are tricky. Both our new strikers are off the mark, our new keeper saved 2 penalties. Cardiff will be a much tougher test, but this gives us positives and a bit of momentum.

Re: Favourite signing of the summer

Matejovsky - one goal vs Liverpool, only ever played in about half the games available, off the pace throughout. Cheers, Marek, thanks. Good one. It wasn't his fault though; the rest of the team simply weren't good enough to play with him. If their runs and movement off the ball were good enough to...

Looks like Hull have pretty much signed a new team today too - so no idea what to expect on Sat. Could be a very disjointed performance from both sides, or an absolute cracker! Signed 3 very average players and Pennington who is decent. On FM19 I sold Moore to West Ham for £12m and Pennington prove...

WestYorksRoyal Norwich will take a few hammering this season. But they'll also cause bottom half teams problems and will get enough wins to stay up.

I'm changing my assessment. Norwich will take some right hammering this season
