Re: “ Sell before we Dai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group v2.3b sponsored by Sports Direct Tennis Ba

I've lost hope now. November was the moment. We'd had months of speculation and managed to get 5 offers of substance on the table. The open goal to extract what value he could was there for Dai. He chose not to. Fcuk knows where we go from here, whether it's a quick death or years more miserable sta...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

We've seen how ineffective the team without Smith is. Lose him and another and we may as well give up on this season now. Losing Abbey would be a blow, but in the short term we're well stocked there with McIntyre coming back. It would be a long term disappointment as Abbey could become a cornerstone...

It will be interesting to see how events off the pitch affect tomorrow's performance.

Re: “ Sell before we Dai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group v2.3b sponsored by Sports Direct Tennis Ba

How is invading the pitch/throwing tennis balls/wearing black going to convince Dai to accept £5 million less or for a buyer to pay £5 million more as surely that's all they are interested in rather that what the fans do? It's not. Nothing legal that fans can do will accelerate the process. They ca...

Ascotexgunner Spose the "Who will you support If the club folds" thread is suddenly becoming reality.

Sod that. IN! for the phoenix adventure climbing the pyramid. AFC Wimbledon hold the record for fastest climb from the bottom into the EFL, with 9 years. That's the target to beat.

Elm Park Kid It wouldn't surprise me if some key players have been sold today so that Dai can meet that wage deposit requirement . . .

Would be plausible, but given news leaks from the club like a colander we'd know by now.

The timing is not a coincidence. They will have used the same sources as SBWD. Proof will be in the pudding I guess - let's see is the squad is still together at the end of January.

Also another Athletic article. Players eating microwave meals, office staff in big coats with no heating, possible sales of Abbey, Bindon, Holmes, Knibbs and Smith. All in all a day of pretty awful news pff the pitch. I wish the independent commission had gone with the EFL's suggestion and simply ba...

Looks like the only way this tool can be got rid of, referencing the Cheltenham site, is to ban him/her/. Clearly lacking enough common sense to take the hint & bore off. https://www.robinsnestforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=30491&start=245 Any psychologist who can explain to me what possesses ...

Full squad for this. Yiadom, McIntyre, Knibbs and Smith all available. When was the last time we went into a game with no injuries? Must be 5 years or so.

I wouldn’t be too upset if he walked, but I'd be concerned by his replacement. Who their right mind would join us in our current state?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brighton & Hove Albion U21 (a)

That depends what effect that has on the rest of the team. If changing our style to meet Ehib's skillset means the likes of Knibbs and Azeez can't thrive for example, I'd rather not bother. At the moment as well, I don't really want us experimenting further when we know our current best XI and are ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brighton & Hove Albion U21 (a)

Based on that, if he doesn't suit our style and we can't get the best out of him, I'd rather we just sold him and stuck a % of next sale on there and potentially a buy-back option. Agree we can't expect him to perform in Smith's role, but if we can't find a place for him in the team, not really sur...

Re: The generic transfer thread

I think about all these transfers in the context of "Could it help England?". If he finds form for Bayern it can't be a bad thing, though it's not exactly a challenging arena week in week out.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

McIntyre fit basically provides cover for Dorsett, Craig, Holmes and Abbey all at once which is great news. So bench at first. Would think Hutchinson is light years away from the team now, and rightly so. Hasn't played since his Shrewsbury which coincidentally is when we started improving. Also thin...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brighton & Hove Albion U21 (a)

Ehibhatiomhan is strong and skillful, but to really get the best out of him you need to play the ball to his feet in threatening areas. So definitely similar to Joao. We don't really play that way, we utilise width and Smith's role involves a lot of running in behind and pressing. Plus he has the ch...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

They may be higher in the table, but think this is an easier game than Cheltenham and Exeter. Meandering through the season after a good start. I think one side currently in "safe" mid table will go down and they are definitely a candidate.

Re: FA Youth cup 2023/24

Our last memorable FA Youth Cup run was around 2014 I think? The wasted generation for whom plenty went on to have good careers away from Reading. Kuhl and Tanner sadly fell away, but it contained Dickie, Stacey and Fosu among others.

Let's hope we use this generation better.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brighton & Hove Albion U21 (a)

I do wonder if the lack of depth is normal in L1. Teams can't afford a large roster of high quality players. So it's hardly surprising that we're reliant upon Wing, Azeez, Knibbs and Smith. I don't know enough about this division, but I expect even Pompey and Bolton have 3 or 4 crucial players whose...
