Re: Champions League & Europa League 2018/19

They have won a 6th European Cup and achieved the 3rd highest points total in Premier League history so I very much doubt that Kane would get in ahead of Firminho in that fab front 3-he just isn't their type and why on earth would Liverpool want to change the way they play to accommodate an old-fas...

Re: Champions League & Europa League 2018/19

Solely on the question of Kane, Hoops has explained far better than me why he wouldn't get in the Liverpool team because of the way they play. Same goes for Man City-he wouldn't get in their starting team either and maybe even at Arsenal. I'm afraid Mags that actual football is not championship man...

Re: Champions League & Europa League 2018/19

Not a fan of either side. It's amazing how much things can change in 12 months - this time last year it was Trippier who was the "world-class" full back that everyone was raving about. This year he doesn't even get a mention in these "best of both team" discussions, and it's the...

Re: Champions League & Europa League 2018/19

It's hard to know who is trolling here and who's just a deranged Liverpool fan but to suggest that Harry Kane wouldn't get in the Liverpool team is so utterly batshit I don't even know where to start with it. He's one of the best strikers in the world  An additional rofl for the suddenly undrop...

Re: Champions League & Europa League 2018/19

I'd also say that the Liverpool team itself is actually pretty likeable, don't begrudge any of them their success. The days when they had prize pcunts like Carragher and Gerrard playing for them seem long ago now. I think that comes from the manager. It also helps when your captain, senior player a...

Re: Champions League & Europa League 2018/19

Klopp is an absolute credit to football. He is very positive, happy and smiling and his teams play football the way it should be played. He also does not lose sight of the fact that it is just a game and that people are more important. Long may he stay at Liverpool and spread that philosophy throug...

Re: BFTG - Brentford

My first game for eight months so it was interesting to see a lot of players for the first time. I thought we looked like a mid-table side tbh, nothing spectacular but just about did enough to win against a Brentford team who didn't turn up until 30mins in. Gunter was great, wasn't taking any shit f...

Re: Where have the hardcore gone? Culture loss.

I rarely go these days. It's not the money. It's not even necessarily having a baby (although that is a factor). It's more the total lack of enjoyment I experienced for the last two seasons I had a Season Ticket. Add in the detachment between the club and the town (I honestly hand on heart don't kno...

Re: Josh Sims - Confirmed?

I saw Josh Sims on a Sky Sports programme called "Phenoms" over the summer where they followed him through recovery form injury and back into first team training.

Couldn't get a feel for what he was like as a player but he came across pretty well IIRC

Re: The Reading FC World Cup Quiz

9/10 Got the Shaka question wrong. I know he held out for an England call up for a while so didn't have loads of caps for T&T for a player of his ability but I guessed wrong. A couple of educated guesses as well, like knowing when Beasant was at the peak of his career and who Ireland played in ...

Re: BFTT Cardiff

I've only been to two games this season - if Sunday's match is representative then I'm not going back either. Absolutely dire game, Reading struggled to put three passes together for the first hour (literally) and constantly gave the ball back. Ilori is scared of life. Van den Berg is worse than me....

Re: Dave Beasent

though, from what I’ve seen this season it’s been pretty hopeless in that area but in their defence the club are crying out for a Darren Caskey or Ian Harte God Darren Caskey. I can't remember which game it was, either Bournemouth at home when they had Defoe, or Notts county. We were losing and got...
