Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield United (a)

Halilovic in for Swift could work quite well actually. If he finds form. Don't expect him to start, but he's more like for like than anyone else imo.

Re: Kabongo Tshimanga

If Moore was on 10k a week i reckon we’d pull in 1m or so As it is, any buying club will also need to pay his extortionate wage as he won’t drop considerably to move. So it’ll be a free or more likely a loan wit is subsidising Yeah, who is going to pay him £20k a week in the current climate let alo...

windermereROYAL
Hendo
NathStPaul Sort of game where we should get dicked but will probably end up winning 0-1.

Had a few of those this season:

Fulham
Swansea
Preston
Bournemouth

Forest
QPR
Blackburn.
Blackpool.

You know those don't invalidate the existence of their first four right?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield United (a)

Silver Fox Is 21st a relegation place now?

Relegation side generally means sides in a relegation fight who may get relegated.

Currently we're on the cusp of that. Two weeks ago we were right in it.

Imo.

Re: Kabongo Tshimanga

I think £1m is a bit low for Ejaria to be honest. Think we could easily get £2m-2.5m quite comfortably for him depending on who comes in for him. I still think we could get something for Moore, even if it was £500k-1m. On Moore, think you're kidding yourself. On the others, it's only a min. Not sur...

Re: Injury watch 2021/22

It’s not that I don’t think some of the ooc’s will re-sign, it’s just the fact we have so little control over it. Dorsett May end up staying but it’d have been nice if we knew we could keep him if we wanted, not just be throwing our hat into the ring with any other club who wants him It may be that...

Re: Injury watch 2021/22

UNtil we know which division we will be in next season then the question of contracts hardly arises. When we confirm we will be a Championship club we will know what our budget is and players will know what level they will be playing at. While I’d be confident the clubhas discussed future plans wit...

Re: Kabongo Tshimanga

Players we could get a useful fee for are probably limited to: Puscas Ejaria (£1m) Joao (£5m) Meite (£3m) One of those seems to definitely be wanted out. We should be considering serious fees for any of the others... suggested minimum amounts next to their name. I think £1m is a bit low for Ejaria ...

Re: Injury watch 2021/22

Id rather not fill out the squad with aged no longer very good glacially paced players like Dann when I could fill it out with young promising cheaper players like Dorsett.

Accepting mediocrity just because you've seen it seems a pretty awful approach to me.

Re: Injury watch 2021/22

No more bonkers than signing John O'Shea. Would argue that Dann is probably better than JO'S was when he played for us, certainly no worse. He might be here to work on his badges as well, like JO'S, and if it is low wages then I really don't see it being a huge issue. Dorsett is the future and out ...

Re: Injury watch 2021/22

Would have been better off giving Dorsett a new deal. It's bonkers. He's 35 now ffs. At least we didn’t give him a 5 year deal on big wages. No more bonkers than signing John O'Shea. Would argue that Dann is probably better than JO'S was when he played for us, certainly no worse. He might be here t...

Re: Injury watch 2021/22

Yep, waste of time and money. Would much rather have brought in a young CB this summer who had been released from a Premier League academy. He wasn't even getting on the pitch when he was fit. Another one in the 'we've learnt oxf*rd all' column. Would have been better off giving Dorsett a new deal....

Scott Dann out for the season. Incredible that whoever's making the decisions thought he was worth a new contract. Yep, waste of time and money. Re: Set piece takers

Stranded It's made me think, have we had many set pieces in shooting range this year, where we have shot? I can only think of Swift's goal v Peterborough where we scored from a direct free-kick. Is that the only goal, or am I forgetting some?

Certainly not many we've scored. Lots where we've shot.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield United (a)

Very not great to have all of Swift, Rino, TDB and Tetek out at the same time. That's not far off 'a', if not necessarily 'the' first choice midfield. Also fancy us to be capable of picking up something. And the long run of shit doesn’t deter me. Those always have to end some time. Tough game though...

Re: Set piece takers

Drinkwater and TInce this season. Next, anyone's guess. Yep, most likely. Answer to the question for this season, is whoever has been taking them when Swift hasn't been on the pitch. Definitely seen both of them take set pieces. Think Ejaria has maybe taken 1 or 2. Not sure on Hoilett. I reckon if ...
