Re: MATCHWATCH : Hull City (a) sponsored by Billy Whitehurst

fairly confident for this one. Same team if everyone fit. McCleary or Harriott for Barrow if he isn't fit, and Nelson if fit for Swift if he isn't. Martinez Yiadom Miazga Moore Blackett Rino Baker Swift Meite Barrow Ejaria Jaakkola, Gunter, McIntyre, McCleary, Harriott, Oliveira, Baldock/Bod (if fi...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Hull City (a) sponsored by Billy Whitehurst

Key to winning this one is nullifying their wingers, between Bowen, Grosicki and Pugh they've scored 30 goals between them, so Yiadom and Blackett need to be on their game, no ambling back from Blackett particularly No doubt Martin will probably score against us, especially as Campbell went off inju...

Re: SPECULATION - Danny Williams

I am not sure you are qualified to judge a player based upon your recent Meite embrarrassment :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D Danny Williams is clearly a Premier League player but lacks the fitness to ever make it at the top level, nothing to do with his ability. Keep up the good work. you're ...

genome Can we use this thread to laugh at Fulham?

Re: CONFIMRED - Nelson Oliveira

Yeah, given what the loanees have shown, hope we now don't 'downgrade' too much when they leave. . We have to admit it's a slim chance with Martinez.. Very slim. I think looking for good, cheap alternatives now would be the wise thing for our scouting department to do. Hope the scouts do a good job...

Re: SPECULATION - Danny Williams

I have to disagree. I have spoken to former teamates of his who have, and I quote, refer to him as "shit". Anyone who thinks of him as being anything more than a cult hero is a nostalgic dreamer. We were a Div 2 team back then. Williams is Premier League quality. Danny Williams is not a P...

Bolton have barred any supporters from attending their next two home games following a prohibition notice due to safety concerns from the GMP, the ambulance service, the fire service and Bolton Council Bit bizarre that having a valid safety certificate for your ground is not a requirement of member...

Re: CONFIMRED - Nelson Oliveira

I think if I was to prioritise which loan signings I'd keep, it would look something like this Miazga Baker Martinez Oliveira Ejaria Possibly push Oliveira up but he's too injury prone so far for my liking. Miazga hasn't put a foot wrong since joining, Baker has really excelled in midfield too and ...

Re: SPECULATION - Danny Williams

Ability is immaterial really. Parky nay not have been technically brilliant, but he performed the role he was in the team for perfectly. I'd argue he's the most effective defensive midfielder I've seen for us. Maybe pipped by Leigertwood. I have to disagree. I have spoken to former teamates of his ...

Re: BFTG - PNE

He was captain. He's an experienced senior pro. He made the same mistake twice to lose us two points we desperately needed by being truly stupid. Not making a poor pass. Not getting caught out of position. Lunging in off his feet in our own box twice. It's just not good enough, and it's a sign he's...

Re: Gomes after 10 League Games

He can certainly be a little negative for my liking. Both the o Shea and McShane subs weren’t great, and even yesterday we sat too far back for 25 mins It’d be interesting to see if he’d make the same subs in the club were in a better situation. Would he still sit back to defend a 1-0/2-0 lead if i...

Re: Gomes after 10 League Games

I'm obviously not certain but I think he rotates the wingers because he's not convinced by any of them (bar maybe Meite) I like Barrow. A lot more than the fans on Twitter seem too but I recognise he has flaws in his game. Harriott has looked a real try-er since getting back and I'm happy with him ...

Re: Gomes after 10 League Games

Wasn't sure when we first appointed him and was having doubts after the borefests against Villa and Wednesday. But we've picked it up since then, still not 100% convinced but he seems able to adapt (i.e. only having 37% of possession yesterday), which is a lot better than some of our former managers...

Re: BFTG - PNE

I'm not defending his actions against Blackburn. It was horrific. But it happened 7 months ago and it's all anyone brings up when anyone says his name Put it this way. If someone was to ask the most memorable thing McShane did in his time here, they'd neglect how good he was at the start and focus o...

Re: BFTG - PNE

Yeah it was Shock horror that a footballer costs his team one game of the season. People need to get over it I recall a certain Tiago being at fault for three goals in one game last year against Derby. That cost us the game. No-one ever mentioned that Like I said, people have an irrational dislike a...

Mcshane: looked completely out of place There”s probaly a reason for that...first showing in seven months+ That's nice. What was his excuse when he was shit 7 months ago? Well, this being a match thread of the Preston game, and not an evaluation of his play 7 months ago, he was poor yesterday, no d...

Re: BFTG - PNE

That ball from Swift for the first goal is a delight - I'm sure if that was de Bruyne, it'd be talked about everywhere. This is what I was saying about Swift, he can easily do that sort of pass and then misplace a 3 yard pass. He could be a really good player if he became more consistent Meite was m...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (h) sponsored by the only way is up

Hound Was Meite back in Bristol/Millwall form

Thought he was excellent. They really couldn’t cope with him

Rino and Baker also both excellent as mentioned. Love Miazga as well - been our most impt loanee

Yeah, I know you liked Ilori but the difference between him and Miazga is staggering IMO
