Re: Brentford ( A ) match thread

we need a midfield that can protect the defence as well. Can't just blame the defence. As someone has already said, we need a defensive midfielder. Is Legs fit again yet? Yep agreed. He is only training with us anyway - he's not on our books. No, but he's a free agent so we could sign him on a shor...

Re: BFG Leeds away

We are 5 points off top at almost the quarter point with our team nowhere near full strength and a mid season transfer window for us all to get excited (and then probably annoyed) about. You can absolutely not write us off. Not yet at least. That said, we've shown no sign that a strong winning run ...

Cooper must be 6'7" if Feds and Blackman are 6'2"

And all the ones in the back row are giants compared to the middle row

It was good to be able to have a conversation before the game without having to shout over the stupidly loud pre match music

Re: Wolves - back from the sofa

Enjoyed today. Thought wolves were the best team to visit the Mad Stad so far this season Didn't think Akpan was having a great game, especially his first touch, but didn't agree with Guthrie coming on though. As has been said we just lost our shape and you realise how slow (mentally and physically)...

thought Le Fondre was a very good penalty taker. I think I saw him miss one? Also, HRK has a pretty decent record too IIRC

Re: The Life and Times of Ahmet Rifat

Pretty sure I saw Harps lining up at the start of the Swallowfield duathlon. Have never seen him with hair, which threw me a bit, but I'm pretty sure it was him as he was wearing a pair of numbered Hull City shorts.

Re: BFTG Millwall

After their first goal I did see Mackie go over to talk to Adkins. He looked like he was saying it wasn't his fault. And then we seemed to switch to 3 up front with Mackie playing thorugh the middle for a few minutes

Re: Confimred new owners of Reading Football Club

Suspect the guy with 50% has acquired Samrit's as we were told it was going to be 4 equal investors. Samrit must have struggled to get the cash together (or at least been able to prove the legitimacy of its origins), so the other chap has stepped up to become the named shareholder. Don't be surprise...

Re: ex royals

Anyone hear the James Harper interview on BBCRB before the game. Clearly never wanted to leave Reading, and admitted to chasing what he had at his other clubs but never found it. Surprised he's only 33 and now without a club. You would think he could do a job at somewhere like Fulham, Brentofrd, Rot...

Re: BFTG Millwall

Gunter looks like he's going backwards. But we can score goals. Gunter is back to his Premier League form at the moment. Their long diagonal ball tactic deliberately targeted Fuller against Hector, and then Gunter getting repeatedly beaten to the flick on by their No 20. Pearce didn't give Hector m...

Re: Fulham (H) Match Thread Sponsored by GM_83's Debut

Wasn't too impressed with Pearce's actions for Smith's sending off. Fulham fans were equally unimpressed by Pearce's fist pumping antics. On their forum they also felt the ref let us get away with loads if fouls. Funny how two sets of fans can see things so differently. I thought he was one of the ...

Re: BFTG-Fulham

Oh, and it was a bit dull to watch. Have to say I'm as stunned at that reaction as the one from the WUM who said all our passes came from the defence and (at the risk of sounding like the Spanish Inquisition) another comment about all our play going down the left. I do like how people take ...
