Re: Play off odds

Interesting to see Fulham are still overwhelming favourites to win the tie. We are about 2/1 to win the game in 90mins. The bookies really don't seem to rate us this year it's not really that surprising. Don't you feel that we have been a little fortunate to maintain our top 6 spot in spite of conc...

Re: End of season Magic Number countdown.

I like to look back at the statistics from previous seasons which are a reasonable guide to what we would need To make the top 2 the maximum we can't make, the highest in previous years would be 24, the average 16 and the lowest would be 8. So still an outside chance. For playoffs the maximum is 19,...

Re: BFTG Wolves

I believe this very site says that it was 1,713 so you may be right in your recollection. The 1713 was the figure quoted at the time but when somebody (David Downs?) brought out a stats book many years later a lot of attendance figures were a bit higher due to the different way the FL calculated th...

Bit of him tearing up Boro.

Fosu's ommission from the squad list makes a lot more sense now.

But he was on the bench last night

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bournemouth (h) sponsored by preseason apathy

Just a small beef. Paid £1.50 for a programme to find no team details. Could have at least put the squad numbers in. Team came out - no names on shirts. Scoeboard had nothing except the clock. Why not put the team names up there. I spent ages trying to work out who was who. It wasn't helped by the ...

If it is unreserved seating why on earth does the online ticketing give you the option to find seats together and then allocate seats (in Row B!)

Re: Stadium Expansion

I thought the screen was quite an improvement. Just a couple of nit picking points. By putting the large club badge on the right and the quite large scoreline with its blue curvy background they ghave ended up with a picture of the pitch which seems smaller than before. I felt a strange sense of wat...

Sutekh Neil Lennon anyone, bookies have just slashed his odds.

Off down the bookie myself now to put a shedload on Mark McGhee.

OMG anyone but Lennon.

Was it a penalty? The replays are inconclusive. I cannot see if there was any contact but the dive was quite theatrical

many years ago the when refs were not full time they used to print their occupation in the program, so when we had a Building Society manager I suppose it was inevitable. "The referee's a banker..."

Re: Royal Elm Park

I wonder whether the name is a potential problem of etiquette ? Towns such as Royal Wootten Bassett are granted the 'Royal' bit by the Queen. Can someone simply decide to call something 'Royal' without permission ? Might be on a par with calling somewhere a 'city' when it is still officially a town...

Re: BFTG Huddersfield (H)

WoodleyRoyal The pitch has been reduced in width this season and quite considerably, couple of feet either side i reckon, Clarke clearly want to focus on going through the middle which makes his starting lineup of having two wide men even more baffling

Do you know that as a fact?

Re: REFWATCH : Huddersfield Town (h)

Where in the rules does it say that all players have to be in their positions before play is allowed to restart? After their goal the Huddersfield players went for a time wasting water break (it's November not mid July in 40 degrees FFS). They were all back on the pitch but still the ref delayed ki...

Re: Biggest Reading Away following

I think there was a thread on this a few months back with Arsenal the biggest mentioned. A few others: Bristol City away 1995, about 4,500 - 5,000. About half the crowd that day, they'd already been relegated. Man Utd in the Cup Jan 2007. About 5,000 I think, we had the middle tier behind goal. Der...
