Re: Back from the Game

Spoke to a fair few Watford fans after the game and their concensus was that the "non goal" was evened out by a perfectly good one from Bikey being disallowed.

Huntley & Palmer Still, a very good turnout from the best supported club in Sheffield. Our fan base could only dream of those sorts of numbers on a Tuesday night

Agreed, especially considering alot remained till the very end!

They would be the captive audience that travelled by coach then.

Re: Hard to see any progress for the forseeable future

The golden team has long gone and we have to move on and build a new team. Which of course is what Coppell is now doing. Pearce, Karacan, Armstrong, Bikey, Matejovsky, N Hunt, Rosenior. Anyone know any of last nights back four from the golden years?? The golden team is gradually being sold off to b...

Re: Jimmy Kebe is a good player, sign in

Feel free to correct me, but for all his deadly running and skinning of defenders has he actually set up a chance we've put away yet? Looks spectacular, but seems to lack the final ball and make the wrong choices too mouch still for me. But despite that, with him and Hunt we have drive and exciteme...

Whatever happened to old Sekou? Sekou Baradji, born April 24, 1984, is a French football player. He is a midfielder currently playing for Associação Naval 1º de Maio in Portugal I'm gonna get to see old Sekou play again then. Off on a golfing jolly boys outing in October and we are taking in Benfic...

Re: League Cup Round 2 - Luton Town

Stranded At a £10, I'll more than likely make the trip up.

Will STs not have a chance to grab their usual seats first then or is simply going to be a free for all?

Apparently a free for all as they are not expecting a great turnout.

Re: League Cup Round 2 - Luton Town

Tickets on sale tomorrow £10 and £6.00 concessions. General sale unreserved seating. That might encourage a few more to go. Even at at extra £2 for a member card a few at work are considering post work beer plus a bit of football.

Are you sure it wasn't the Steve Death Testimonial late 70's ish That was against a Young England XI, November 79. My old school buddy Steve Wicks played for The England XI I think we won 1-0. I can remember the Southbank faithfull chanting "We hate England" and thinking that summed up th...

Royalee,

When Jim Leighton came on loan from Man Utd do you honestly think there was the remotest eeensy weensy chance that he would ever have considered joining us? No, even you could not possibly believe that.

Suggest you engage brain before starting keyboard.

Re: Little wants Shorey at Pompy

Times today reckons Villa and Sunderland have tabled bids of £1.5m. Not surprised if that is the case that SC is hodling out for more. Even with only 1 year left on contract we must be looking towards £3m. Would accept £2m at a push just to get the damn thing resolved.

Southbank Old Boy What a load of feeble excuses.

Whatever happened to the good old mantra of "the customer is always right" then?

When has that EVER been the case in football?

Re: 11762 season tickets renewed

A little guesswork on my part.

Assuming no season tickets sold in the South Stand there is the opportunity to let the whole of it to the clubs likely to fill it.

However to do so there would need to be reasonable capacity for casual/non sth elsewhere.

Could this be a/the reason?

Don't forget to keep an eye on the tv schedules. Would be a real bummer if you made all the arrangements only for Sky to decide to move the game.

IMHO I've not seen a centre back who puts his foot in at the right moment since we had Matty Upson on loan. Well done Mr Cisse! PS Can't remember the last time a cameo performance from a substitute has brought so many positive comments (and rightly so). Not normally a full member of the RTG club but...

Can i just add, if a normal working individual was caught over the limit in a company car, albeit sponsored in this case, would they not face instant dismissal? Normally, only if the car is essential to the job. For sales staff it would be written into the contract of employment. For someone with a...
