Re: Why doesn't the MadStad host concerts and music events?

Gigs and concerts can only really be hosted in the post season and with a full season of football and rugby, the pitch needs time for maintenance and recovery. 1 gig would take a week out of post season.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (h) sponsored by a nice quiet evening out

Scutterbucketz Colin looks like he’s enjoying his evening in Reading as usual.

Fair play to him though, he did say in the build up to the match that we were a much better team than Cardiff.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (h) sponsored by a nice quiet evening out

Stockport Royal I remember West Brom beat Man City away years ago having not had a shot on target, thought we were on to match it!

I remember that. A Richard Dunno og if I remember with Robert Earnshaw trying to claim it despite being nowhere near it.

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Yep, Wednesday fans are probably chirping-off the same as we were a few weeks ago......Nigel missed a trick there, good start for him at Hull today. Always thought that he was “hard done by” by the HNA massive running their mouths....and the clubs actual situation at that time of his ten...

Re: Record Watch 2017/18

If Wolves win their next 2 games, it would take them to 54pts at the half way mark. They would have to match that in the second half of the season to beat the record. They won't do it.

Re: Witty?Humorous Player Nicknames

Sonko's Superman heroics were in the 2-0 home win against Ipswich in 2005 where he took a full blooded belter from about 5yds away full in the head without even flinching, preventing a certain goal in the process.

So Hayley McQueen got a job in broadcasting because of her dad and it had nothing to do with her degree in Broadcasting Journalism?

Re: Best/Worst Pundit

I always thought Brian Moore was fcuking shite. Apart from his head looking uncannily like London Planetarium, his commentating style appeared to be spout bollocks in an authoritative tone. Arguably our finest moment at the time, Adie Williams rises to head a last minute winner to secure our highes...

That's a really uninspiring list of lower and non league qualifiers IMO.

Peter Drury, the man who hits fever pitch over a throw in. Such whining verbosity.

Awful, awful commentator.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sunderland (a) sponsored by Charlie Hurley

What's changed? It can't be having key players fit again and being able to use a settled side and tactics, surely?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sunderland (a) sponsored by Charlie Hurley

Personally, I think Stam's has been trying to make the available players fit the system and, as our experience with Rodgers has shown, that can be a recipe for disaster. However, a big factor in our recent improvement has been key players who can play the system coming back to fitness and we are now...

Bacuna caught his back foot as he was about to take a step and his momentum took him up and over. It looks awkward but not necessarily overplayed.

I thought it was a clear penalty. Bacuna was nowhere near the ball and caught his foot.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sunderland (a) sponsored by Charlie Hurley

Is it true that Sunderland fans boo even when they win? I went back in 2005 when we won 2-1. They were leading and they started booing when we equalised. When we scored the winner, with about 10 minutes left, they left in a drove. They were miles clear at the top at the time. I also remember the se...
