Re: James Harper

Harps was one of the most friendly, polite and cheerful players the club has had. While it probably suits both parties it is a real shame to have lost him. His energy and never-say-die attitude must never be underestimated when people speak of the success the club had in the clubs best ever two seas...

Re: New Manager

I see rationality and thought process too - something I never understood in Rodgers way BUT, so many of his ex-players loved him and the noises from our own players were positive that I feel he would have got there in the end. Great at his job at Reading so he got cherry picked to Chelsea -great at ...

Re: New Manager

George Burley? WCBAP

Phil Parkinson? - Would be mad to work here in an impossible environment?

I still don't understand why we sacked Rodgers, he made numerous and blatant errors, but something about him seemed to be as if he would get it right in the end :(

Re: Sheff Utd (A) Match Thread - Sponsored By Simon Jordan

Honest, decent, with a career and background in football. As against ... an arroagant wannabe know-it-all, who never was. Absolutely no contest. Strap - I have been here for over 10 years on Hob Nob and keep my posting to a minimum - but wow, you really are a bitter man - did Rodgers steal your wif...

Re: Back From The Game: Liverpool

Men of the match: Karacan, Macanuff, Bertrand, Cisse Played Well: Sugurdsson, Bryn for the first 30mins, Rasiak, Great moments, Poor Moments: Hamer (nearly conceded without touching the ball), A-Fed, Ivar, Mills, Church Poor: N/A 8) Mills made some real errors, but I see him as a Heurelho Gomes type...

Re: Back from the game: QPR v Reading

Back from the game (Putney) after a few drinks so if I make mistakes, its not entirely my fault! Up until the (bizarre) sending off, we were set to lose 1-0. Our defence looked capable but we were always going to lose to a bit of class. Why were we not going to score? Because our forwards were marke...

Re: Simple question - In or Out?

Couldn't be more adamant - STAY. Even if we went down. Stay. He inherited a team that wanted to leave (Hunt, Doyle, Harps, Bikey, Matejovskey) He inherited a team that have not consistently performed (Cisse, Rosenior, Pearce, Long, Matejovskey, Mooney, Kebe) He inherited a team that is inexperience...

Re: RUMOUR - Bikey to Marseille

Well read on - it's not all crap! (oh, and by the way, Duberry was club captain at Stoke)(oh, and second by the way - It was the previous poster who said that Duberry was the leader not only me...)

Re: RUMOUR - Bikey to Marseille

I think Doobs and Ivar are decent leaders, the problem is I'm not sure Bikey respected them as players. If Bikey was paired with a player that was not only a leader but someone who was better than him I could imagine Bikey becoming one of the best defenders in the world - I mean it! It would have to...

Re: RUMOUR - Bikey to Marseille

I was at the Tooting game - everything that is good and bad about Bikey occured... He was colossal (with ease) and then...absurd... He decided that it was a good idea to dribble round the two Tooting forwards, got tackled and was incredibly lucky that Tooting managed to miss their golden opportunity...

Re: Kettering or Tooting and Mitcham

J Rowe on for Bryant 3-0 o.g from corner. Bozanic ready for the first team, Kelly needs to get lifting weights! Antonio's pace would be good on the bench if long starts for the first team. Antonio and davies off for stockinson and Joyce Right, I'm off, there's a test match on that needs watching!!

Re: Kettering or Tooting and Mitcham

Sigurdsson looks good, box to box and comfortable on the ball. Bryant seemed to be confused of his role in the midfield but good going forward. Just sprung the offsidetrap but poor finish. He is now definitely the most attacking of the 3 central middielders. Game very scrappy now, J Taylor on for bi...
