Re: Anyone For Chinese?

Listening to bbcrb this morning, Dellor was talking about being in the board room this morning and SJM and NH were having some bantz, NH was ribbing SJM for not spending enough dosh the last two times in the prem. SJM was obviously giving banter back, then NH mentioned well we don't have to worry a...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

He's getting his excuses in early I see. He's already said he'll play a weakened team against Palace. I presume the authorities will as diligent in their investigation as they were for David Wagner or Ian Holloway previously now that it's a a big name manager (not that it really matters what 11 he ...

Daily Mail suggest Chelsea could ground share at the Madjeski whilst their stadium is rebuilt (assuming capacity upgrade takes place) http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4467172/Chelsea-face-FOUR-year-exile-Stamford-Bridge.html shorter journey on a Saturday for most of their supporter...

Re: Royal Elm Park

Saying it was meaningless did not equate to me not understanding ! It's not that complicated... but thanks anyway. The moot point would be that as you say new owners would quite probably want to revisit the plans so any attempt to extend the life of the PP would be a bit meaningless. but I fail to ...

Re: Royal Elm Park

PP definitely have a limited life, I doubt if a random bit of concrete would extend that indefinitely. Maybe if you genuinely carried on shortly after the expiry you might be ok but not if you left it years ! would you have thought they would have taken due diligence on what constitutes 'a start'? ...

Re: Royal Elm Park

The one thing that really concerns me is stadium expansion. If the need arises to increase capacity by 10-15,000, what is the likelihood that one nimby objects and blocks expansion. Surely there would have to be something in the sales contract giving the club the right to expand the stadium? You ca...

As was said to me, why go to all the expense of have safe standing if we can't fill the ground as it is.. RFC have a serious issue if there is no club within 50 miles and a large demographic local and can't ye get more than 12k (discounting away fans) in one place at the same time . Perhaps it's a ...

Re: Thai owners

In all this can we assume that the Bearwood training ground is now a 'dead duck' and the 'state of the art' Academy also? Will they follow the Brentford lead and, also, when SJM sells up the Hogwood site will they be back to training at Sonning or even Prospect Park? Sad to see a historic part of Re...

Re: Royal Elm Park

Don't understand the Nigel Howe dislike myself or perhaps it is more a dislike for the role he does. In this case what do you expect him to say publicly - that it's a total disaster and we shouldn't be doing it or to be generally supportive of what is going on? He has clearer visibility to exactly ...

TBF I wouldn't trust Howe as far as I could throw him.. but that's me...

So, can you throw him more or less distance than the average person?

It's a personal thing so averages or how far anyone else can throw him (or not) isn't really relevent

Re: Royal Elm Park

The Thai's haven't underestimated anything. RFC's share seems to be an appalling £15m. 15 million? Hardly appalling It is when you work out the value of each property that will be sold, x approx. 630 homes, plus income from the conference centre which is in competition with ours, and the temp ice r...
