Re: GOMES OUT!

and that purple week we had a short while back against Cardiff, WBA and Uddersfield where the team played some great football. Watched all 3 games, results were purple. Overall performances weren't great, little to suggest that the players were comfortable with the game plan. Long periods when we h...

Re: GOMES OUT!

It's nearly always a case of 'the king is dead, long live the king' with managers, but I do think I'd struggle to get back behind a Reading team for a while if they sacked Gomes

Re: Gomes, Should he stay or should he go? Mk2

I'm absolutely certain Gomes will be a good manager, but he needs to accept that the 3 men at at the back are making one big error per match too many.

I was Rodgers in, Adkins in, Stam in and I'm Gomes in.

FTR, I was McDermot out, Clarke out, and Clement out.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (a) sponsored by hopeless causes

Gang. I've had an epiphany. You know how our strikers would thrive on crosses but we have no wingers? .....................Cabral Howe, Miazga, Morrison, Richards Yiadom, Rinomhota, Pele, Obita ................Meite, Puscas Yiadom basically plays as a winger already, but is better defensively than ...

Re: The next 6 games.

It's not bollocks but is a flawed stat as it can be skewed by the match situation i.e. a lot of our high XG of late has been as a result of creating a number of late chances with all our attacking players on due to chasing the game, so isn't necessarily a fair reflection of how we are actually play...

Snowflake Royal
PistolPete
Snowflake Royal Always use your back up keeper in cup games so they've had some game time if they need to step in because of injury etc.

Ridiculous. Name me one time in the history of football when a keeper has come in and made a mistake that was definitely down to them being rusty.

You're weird.

Why is everyone/anyone putting Walker? He's not the kind of keeper who needs to be placated with starts. Cabral needs more games. Re: The next 6 games.

I know not everyone loves XG, but it's a pretty good indicator of how a team is doing. Swansea, currently sat in 2nd place, are wildly overachieving: http://img4.imagetitan.com/img4/small/20/20_screenshot2019-09-22at19.04.48.png We are underachieving, so perhaps this game is there for the taking...

Re: Gunter, GMac and 'the Reading way'?

What a few people seem to be missing, Maffff included, is that while Reading are very much within their rights to make them train with the reserves, it’s 100% not a good image. The ‘Reading way’ was originally about signings, but as far as I’m concerned, became more than that. It was about ‘the Roya...

Gunter, GMac and 'the Reading way'?

Is forcing these two players to train with the U23s really the right option for a reputable club like Reading? How can anyone say that Danny Loader should apologise for agreeing terms with Wolves; that Yakou Meite should apologise for telling fans that they have a short memory when defending Modou B...

Haven't read the whole thread but have watched the first half online. If you are basing your opinion on Pele on Dellors commentary please please don't. Dellor refusing to call Pele by his name is disgraceful. Pele played like a player who is new to the team and to the pace and style of the game. Th...
