Re: Confrimed - Abbey and Holmes going

https://twitter.com/danmarkgreen83/status/1746931025932878194 No idea how reputable this account is, but it's reporting £300k as a combined fee. Which should cover us for 2 months at most? So bad it almost feels vindictive. The post appears to have been deleted. If it is £300k for both then that's ...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

They give him a deadline or the club is expelled. Can't own a Football League Club, if the club isn't in the Football League. But in that instance, surely it accelerates the route to liquidation? If you have all the assets of a football club but nowhere for them to play, why not just get rid of the...

Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

As my username suggests I am a Brighton fan. I happen to live in Reading. In 1996 after hearing that our ground was to be sold (asset stripping) leaving us with nowhere to play, during a home game against York City Brighton fans invaded the pitch and broke the goal cross bar so the game could not b...

Re: Did the protest do what it intended?

Not one report is painting Reading fans in a bad light and so they shouldn't. I think the media and other fans have got it. Theres only two people which can be blamed for yesterday - Dai and Pang. I would hope if one is banned, the other is also banned. If Dai is banned, Pang might quit. This will ...

Re: Local elections

The only way that we can get a political solution is to have Toby Jones star in a drama about how terrible the situation is - then the government are likely to jump on the bandwagon and start doing what they should have done years ago. Obviously going forward the only way to get anything done in th...

Re: “ Sell before we Dai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group v2.3b sponsored by Sports Direct Tennis Ba

So now we've had a game abandoned, which Dai is probably not going to give a fukk about, at what point do protests become more personal? Like smashing the fukk out of his London mansion? It's rented mate, his whole fukking empire is smoke and mirrors which will become much cleared in the coming mon...

Re: Confrimed - Abbey and Holmes going

Royals and Racers C Scott on X has claimed today that Abbey is off to Notts Forest and then loaned to Olympiakos and Holmes off to Luton but loaned back to the end of the season.

So both back in the championship next season and holmes is barely up to that standard.

Re: Did the protest do what it intended?

I think one thing it does do is put more pressure on the EFL, and for them to press for him to be banned from football if/when they meet with the independent panel again, to decide on punishments. It's hard to think of any action that would obviously make Dai more likely to sell, but the protests a...

Re: Did the protest do what it intended?

I think the fact that the game was abandoned made it get much more publicity. A 10 minute delay would barely have got a mention give that we've delayed numerous games this season already. Perhaps. But is lack of publicity the problem, and how will more publicity make Dai more likely to sell? Protes...

Re: Did the protest do what it intended?

As I've posted elsewhere, I think it would have been much more effective and impressive to go on for 10 minutes, then all get up and go back to the stands and let the game go on. I think the fact that the game was abandoned made it get much more publicity. A 10 minute delay would barely have got a ...

Re: Did the protest do what it intended?

Yes, I believe it has. We have had media attention and support from other fans. Plus, it was good to see Jeff Stelling calling out Sky for not making us the biggest story of the day. Sadly, I don’t think it’ll will change the final outcome as I’ll be surprised if we start the 24/25 season. For me, ...

Re: Did the protest do what it intended?

I just knew you would be the first to repond, with you usual negative view on most (if not all) new threads. There is a perfectly good thread in place about yesterday's protest. You just want attention. I've it all now! You calling someone else an attention seeker. Talk about a pot calling a kettle...

Re: Did the protest do what it intended?

The objective of yesterday's protest was to gain publicity. Did it, in your view work? Where was it "in the news" or where it wasn't. On the plus side on the BBC's website it it on the football section front page with a link to a lengthy article. On the minus side it was not on the Main N...

Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

TLDR, leave it to the grown up's. We got twenty seconds on national TV for a demonstration to make Dai sell a club that he's already trying sell and will in his own time as is his prerogative as the owner. Alternatively we could have won the game against Port vale and be outside the bottom four wit...

Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

Play nice kids, we're all entitled to our views and we're all fans of the same club who want the same end result. Well said. Precisely why protests are meaningless. Playground antics. Don't get my way I'll spit my dummy out and call other people names. Pathetic. Hopefully those that have incurred t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

Anyway than the minor handbags by fans what was the match like? Ratings please? What there was of it was ok, there defence was shocking and we would have won at a canter and be out of the relegation zone. But now we will never know, at least we did not lose ground and now have a game in hand over E...
