Re: STs for season 2019/2020

Season ticket news has been released and while it may seem a bit convoluted, I think this is brilliant by the club https://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/2020/september/your-season-ticket-2020-21--renewal-process-part-1/ Sounds good, probably the most logical approach. Guess for many though it may come d...

Re: The Non - League thread

Four Of Clubs Basingstoke slump out of the FA Cup 1-3 on pens to 10 man Christchurch after a 2-2 draw.

That eclipses even Reading’s usually shambolic performances with penalties.

Re: Should Reading change our club crest...

I remember being overjoyed when I finally got Dave Beasant in ProSet cards. Not sure why this sticks in the memory tbh, I'm sure a psychologist would have a field day. I remember back in the days just before Panini, FKS used to be the main provider for football card collections (3p for a packet of ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h) sponsored by Dean Morgan

For me, a surprisingly absolutely vital game - because I believe in momentum (small m!). Possibly three home games in eight days - first two eminently winnable - Luton and Barnsley and my god do we need some home form! Win those and that would send us into the MUFC game on a bit of a high. If we pu...

Re: Rival Watch

SWLR and it took them ages to build the new Putney end, and we all know that was built out of scaffolding poles.

Fulham’s ground looked much better in the 70s with that lovely open terrace on the River side so you could watch the riparian activities when the football got boring.

doesn't look like he was especially good last year, but would provide some cover Made 25 appearances in a team that got to the play offs he must be ok with the options they have at Forest so I am in. Well they almost did, crashed out on the final day when they got smashed 4-1 by Stoke and Swansea s...

Re: Rumour - Rodrigo Riquelme

What was the latest with this guy? pauanovic confirmed he’s till training with us. I think we are just going to keep him and hope his club forget he’s here so he just becomes ours. It worked with Ovie, tbf  It almost worked once before. Reading loaned a player from Middlesbrough (I think) in ...

Hendo
Wont need to worry about that as he is OOC.

Fair point, stupid comment

If he is OOC at the end of the season would probably make more sense just to let them have him for a nominal fee.

Loan him. You know what would happen if he went for a nominal fee!

Far be it from me to judge what other people do with their money but to ask for £10 per match for one camera angle and BBCRB commentary, they can fcuking do one And if you're seriously comparing that to the experience of going to the match in person, and all the sights, smells, camaraderie and sens...

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

There is a problem brewing at Roots Hall with the club’s manager’s hands somewhat tied by a transfer embargo (the average age of the Southend squad is about 22) due to an unpaid HMRC bill.

Might Southend become the next Bury?

Harrog8! Shef Wed & Morecombe runners up for me Brilliant for Harrogate, a well deserved win - did you see the 4th goal, absolute comedy defending from Southend. Small mention on result of the day for the “gas” almost getting over the line at Sunderland, fell to an 82nd minute equaliser after h...

BFTifollow - Derby

Let’s not get too carried away. A win against what was, let’s face it, a toothless and slow tempo’d Derby won’t convince that Reading are destined for promotion/play offs, however it does convince that the club is on the right lines. Thought everyone played well, with Joao and Ejaria being the obvio...

All you Aluko haters can f*ck right off, all players can start off on a clean slate under new management, disgusting you were booing when he came on before he came on as sub. at this stage ^this^ However, our resident expert has probably been peeking through the training ground fence and knows what...

Re: Best/Worst Pundit

Best commentary teams ever. Barry Davies (TV) and Peter Jones (radio). Always thought Jimmy Armfield was the best pundit by a mile. Shame there isn’t an option on games these days to turn the commentators and pundits off and just have the game atmosphere with random supporter comments thrown in from...

Question. Was Reading’s last opening day win away from home 2-0 at Blackpool back in 2001 and how did Reading do that season?
