Re: Best XI in your lifetime. (Excluding the 106 team)

Just my opinion but we had three good strikers at that time Cureton worked really well with Butler the year we went up . Butler created a lot for Cureton to feed off (big man / little man combo) but in the Championship Butler did not make the step up so Cureton's chances dried up. Pardew went for p...

Re: Best XI in your lifetime. (Excluding the 106 team)

Hislop Gunter Wdowczyk Wood Harte Kebe Sigurdsson Gooding Gilkes Quinn Forster Hislop is a given really. I saw Death play but only a couple of times. RB was a struggle. Picked Gunter by default really. CB. Dariusz was a class act and Wood looked really cultured alongside Hicks. LB. Harte just for t...

Re: Best XI in your lifetime. (Excluding the 106 team)

Forster's goals to game ratio wasn't actually that great. He was superb on his day, but I always found him frustratingly greedy. But his turn of pace was something else. Gilkes scored and won the Simod Cup, and narrowly missed out on auto promotion to the Premier League in 1995 when we finished 2nd...

Best XI in your lifetime. (Excluding the 106 team)

Does what it says on the tin. Out of the players you have seen in your lifetime supporting the club and excluding players from that brilliant 05/06 team, what is your Best Reading XI. Hislop Griffin Williams McPherson Kerr Kebe Parkinson Sigurdsson Mcanuff Forster Quinn Tough choices for me were at ...

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

There will be a treatment long before a vaccine.

We will all be on Donald Trump's favourite Malaria drug ("try it, if you'd like") or some other treatment like Remdesivir or recovered patients blood plasma by the end of the year.

Full match playlist for Wolves at home December 1994. Well worth watching right through this. Southbank in full voice throughout with many chants you don't here often these days! Scott Taylor kicking lumps out of them, got 2 players subbed by half time! https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4tQj2...

2 world wars, 1 world cup A friend told me it's not a virus it's just waves coming from 5G masts. The stats seem to fit this theory as countries with 5G masts seems to have deaths. Use your phone less.

Presumably your friends brain transplant is delayed due to all the people being treated for the virus.

Re: What got you into supporting RFC?! And when you did who was your nearest team?

First game was 1993 against Northampton in the League Cup, we won 3-0. Still have the programme.

Went with my Dad and Grandad who both supported them for years.

Still support them now, the useless twats.

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

I think one problem in Italy was that cases were very concentrated in relatively small areas, whereas we seem to have a more even spread. Spain also had an incredibly high proportion in the Madrid area. West Midlands recodrd higher deaths than London in past 24 hours. Some of this may be cultural, ...

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

I have to say that I continue to think that the fear over this COVID-19 issue is overdone. I have just checked the Gov flu report which details flu deaths for the four years from 2014/15 through to 2017/18. An average of 21,155 died in the UK during these four years from flu including sadly a numbe...

Silver Fox Is it Celta Vigo? I saw it was RC Celta, which looks like some sort of eSports team. If it's just sum random Vigo player I'll be more hoepful of our Tom's chances

Andros Townsend was shit in the last round fwiw

It is Celta Vigo. The RC stands for Real Club.

May or June is wishful thinking I'm afraid. If football by some miracle returns by that time then it will be behind closed doors.

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

China has a population of 1.4 billion yet suffered only 3,261 deaths so far. Panic leads to irrational decision making. between 250,000 and 600,000 have been dying of flu each year for many years and we do nothing. Without understanding how many people have actually been infected (not just tested) ...

Wouldn't worry about players form for this season as it won't get finished.

Doubt next season will start either. Can see them having to wait until the next World Cup year for any domestic football.

Not sure what that dig is about but wish you no harm and hope you stay safe.

Far more important things and people in life to worry about than football and there is a lot to worry about right now.

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

Three Leicester players are now self isolating. They played Birmingham in the Cup recently.

The same Birmingham we played last weekend.
