Re: What innovation would improve the league in the future?

It would cull half of the posts on the team board which specul8 how much Pog earns this is not true True, a grammatical error there, what I meant was: It would cull all of the posts on the team board which specul8 how much Pog earns. It would cull half of the posts on the team board, ie all of thos...

Re: WORLD CUP PREDICTION THREAD

Yes but don't forget any real meaningful insight requires thought and research. Far easier for your Mersons, your Redknapps and your Kamaras to just trot out a lazy generalisation and make it sound like it's based on facts.

Re: What innovation would improve the league in the future?

More money into grassroots/lower leagues is the key one there. Hopefully coupled as part of some sort of investment plan (academies, youth development) rather than to be just spaffed on players wages.

More interaction with the ref during and after the game would definitely be a good idea.

http://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/article/contracts-offered-130514-1550264.aspx Add to those leaving De'Juane Taylor Crossdale, Germaine Ofori and Jack Jeffrey. I'll freely admit to not knowing a lot about our youth players - are these releases at all surprising? The club usually seems to get it righ...

Re: Playoffs Thread

Pleased for Orient, hope they come up. Have never been to Brisbane Road so would welcome that trip, not been to the New York either, and my inlaws live just outside Preston, so it's win-win-win whichever team comes up now. Plus no horror shows at London Road for at least a season so agreed with ASS,...

Re: Premier League 'B' Teams to join Pyramid?

Good point Zac. Taking your point further still, the number of mixed nationality players all the way up the league is increasing too. For example Jobi and McCleary could be English, but declared for Jamaica so now are technically non-EU despite having been born in England, so that screws with the no...

Re: Playoffs Thread

It's a hearty LOL from me at the Brighton players throwing themselves around at every opportunity trying to win a penalty and then Upson is the one who gives the penalty away. A bit generous to give Derby's keeper MotM I thought, although his save on to the crossbar was excellent.

Can you imagine how shit League 1 could well become? Possible League 1 Table in the next few years: 1. Man Utd B 2. Chelsea B 3. Arsenal B 4. Liverpool B 5. Tottenham B 6. Newcastle B 7. Aston Villa B 8. Southampton B 9. Everton B 10. West Ham B 11. Preston North End 12. Leyton Orient 13. ... 14. ....

Re: Premier League 'B' Teams to join Pyramid?

In which case, who is going to be at the B Team home games? I can imagine the likes of Man United B drawing a higher crowd than Barnsley do at the moment. I know their reserves probably don't at the moment, but that's the point, you make the whole thing more appealing. I'm not in favour of it BTW. ...

Re: Premier League 'B' Teams to join Pyramid?

I agree PO. I don't envisage these B teams being in this League 3 for long, as the B sides are going to be better than conference standard. So then over the course of time you will end up with a whole host of Prem B sides in the Championship and somehow that is better than having established 100+ y...
