If that was the case he would not have been offered a new contract. He has Premiership experience and WILL be picked on merit. Did I say otherwise? I'm sure he'll be picked on merit, but unless something happens to the other two wingers that merit will almost certainly see him as third in the pecki...

I credit Steve Coppell with the sense not to relegate one of the few player we have with Prem experience to 3rd choice before a ball has been kicked........................shame we can't say the same about many of our fans. I think you're taking this lets be positive everyone of our players is grea...

So? You were implying he had more experience and should thus not be 'relegated to third choice'. He WILL be third choice, whatever your delusions. Er no, I was implying that Steve Coppell has a squad of players, some of whom have more experience than others, but that he will have more sense than so...

Re: oster??

Getting good balls into the box, will lead to goals and he is also competition for Seol. Seol gets an injury then we have back up. Oster got a lot of slate last season from a lot of fans, and there where times where i could see their point, but its not as if hes over loading the wage bill. Get anot...

Physically, which is where Kitson sometimes struggles, 46 games amongst the Championship cloggers is tougher than 38 games against the Premiership elite.

Surely this is the one thing that should be easier to cope with in the Premiership than the Championship................8 less games to start with :?

My tuppence worth - Kitson has been our top scorer for the last two seasons, made the step up two divisions with ease and (imho) is underrated in terms of his ability on the ground; I like the way he holds up the ball. I think that after all he has achieved for us he deserves a little better than t...

I'm laughing just reading these replies  Given that Swindon fans have had so very little to laugh about in recent times, I hope all Reading supporters can find it in their hearts to make allowances for neighbours who have fallen on hard times. Or not, as the case may be.

Given just how many Reading fans have been proved wrong about (and this is just a few from a very long list) Kitson, Convey and Sonko, I'm amazed by just how many "experts" want to right off players at any particular level before they've kicked a ball in anger :? It must be high time we ha...

I'm sure we have fans who have predicted nothing but doom and gloom since before our last promotion.

It would seem reasonable to expect them to learn from previous mistakes but the Reading fan can be a strange beast.............from the shoulder up in particular

Those who begrudge doing the same are just decending to the level of those who were prepared to make such a crass decision in the first place. Obviously I don't agree. I'm the first to put my hand in my pocket when a few million asians have been devastated by a tsunami, or when David Walliams avoid...

Under the circumstances I'm against the fans having to pay anything. This is not a case of contributing to a worthy cause in order to make up a small shortfall. BBCRB were held to ransom to pay way over the odds. Won't see another penny from me. I paid RFC £710 for my season tickets, and I paid £...

Convey doesn't pass as 2 footed but his right foot is good enough for him to have the confidence to come inside and even swap to the right. Shorey can't do this just like Glen Little can't play on the left...............Convey is an international just like the 2 footed Salako and the others are not....

If he establishes himself as a Premiership full back, that will be one hell of a journey from Orient reserves, and I really hope he makes it but can't see him gettting any further with a right foot that wouldn't look out of place in the Conference.

IMHO an absolutely outrageous decision, which no-one can support. Meanwhile, BBC Berks, who have provided the club with masses of free publicity even back when we were sh*t and in Tier 3, are dropped like a stone, leaving the number of fans able to hear radio coverage of their team massively reduce...

YorkshireRoyal If Dave fancies a chat about his ability, he can PM me.

For the record, he will flop badly in the Premiership and will be back in Sainsburys this time next season.

I feel sure that Dave, an unambitous signing when he joined from Cambridge, is most grateful for your input.

Reading the whole piece rather than the snippets that some choose to post, I find myself in general agreement with Dave Kitson. He seems to be refering, in large part, to those very embarrassing contributions in that thread regularly regurgitated by one of our moderators (and much enjoyed by so many...
