Re: The lamentable south east corner

SCP was it you that tried a rally a few fans to the South West corner against Sheff U a while ago? The stewards were intent on being idiots that day. Yep, thats me! Did you join us in GU1? The stewards were way over the top that night. I was so incensed after the match that I went about organising ...

Re: The lamentable south east corner

I'll add my tuppence to this dicussion as its one that I feel very strongly about. Having sat in various locations of the East Stand since we moved to the new stadium twelve years ago - I must say that Y25/26 is definately the place to be for the singers. Having failed miserably with my Biscuit Boy...

The lamentable south east corner

There was once a time when away fans had at least a bit of a challenge from the home fans in the south east corner. Now our fans in that part of the ground seem to have given up even singing. Barnsley and Plymouth fans sang constantly and the response from our lot was.....silence. Why do you lot bot...

He signed a two year contract. McDermott and Gibbs wanted him back and didn't know he had signed for them.

Can't say I miss him.

Re: HOW ARE WE GONNA GET OUT OF THIS SH*T-ST8?

Quite right. But how about all the reactionary fukwits shut up going on about Madejski and get behind the players. You know who Madejski is don't you? He's the one you were all singing for and applauding four years ago in your hysteria over promotion. You'd have had his babies then. A little while a...

Re: Burnley Tickets

In a sad moment I, for some reason, decided to browse the terms and conditions on ticket sales. It states: Reading FC reserve the right to price tickets and change the price of tickets for any match however they deem appropriate including after a sale has been made without refund. I didn't think thi...

Sign him after one match?

This is the exact sort of over reaction from your typical south east corner half wit.

You probably love the chairman again now too.

Re: Brendan's moaning again!

Funny how people change their minds with the wind. When Rodgers went to Chelsea people said what a loss he was. Now all the fuggin know-alls are spewing hatred. Even Coppell would have had little success if the first team were sold off and he had only the reserves. If Rodgers goes to a League Two cl...

Re: Saturdays Game off?

What would really help would be if the club would give some idea what the thinking is on the official site. Maybe: State when a decision will be made. Show some pics of inside the stadium. Show pics of the surrounding area and car parks. Brief interview with Ray Booth would be interesting. Might be ...

Re: New goal music

That music on Saturday was the stupidest I've heard at any ground. No one can dance or jump about to it. It's probabaly because of all the moaners about Tom Hark that we've got a daft song that doesn't work at all. The Back the Boys mob have obviously tried to please the South East corner. Bollocks...

Re: Saturdays Game off?

Unless it gets worse on Thursday and Friday I think they should clear the roads around the car park and the main roads should be passable by then.

Would be a shame to postpone it. Website said 20,500 tickets had been sold by yesterday.

Re: JOIN THE PROTEST - SACK THE BOARD

Anyone who can remember the last anti-chairman protest will remember that it almost cost us the club. Frank Waller got lots of stick so he sold out to Robert Maxwell and we faced a much worse scenario. Can young fans really imagine merging with Oxford United? That's how Waller tried to get his reven...

Re: Reading: Burnley's "Worst Case Scenario"

Very good point. Few journos on local papers come from the area they cover. He's not going to slag Burnley in the local rag. Mind you is he really suggesting the Reading players deliberately threw the Watford match that season to avoid Europe? He could be right of course, but saying so in print is a...

Re: The Big Screen

Nice to have the ear of the BTB team. While you are here please note that the people who object Tom Hark are the the ones who like to lead the noise and all they are really upset about is it steals their thunder. The lack of noise from the south east corner is what's really embarrassing. Tom Hark he...

I've noticed threads get deleted or lumped onto other threads.

Maybe the club has taken control of Hobnob.

Whatever the reason, it makes it a bit pointless trying to debate anything on here.

Re: Evolving the atmosphere

The point about this is surely the irony that: a) The club moan about the crowd being too quiet. b) They send heavy handed stewards in when some fans try to improve it. The stewards are rather like bullies. They will go in where there is a small number but faced with a large mob, just leave them alo...

Re: Evolving the atmosphere

Well done to everyone who sang in GU1. Those who stood, did so at the back were they could surely have bothered no-one, and they livened up a normally dead part of the ground. They could really boost the atmosphere of a play off semi final. The stewards were obviously under employed. Yet, every week...
