Re: Back from the game - Leeds (H)

On the 'stamp', I've watched it a few times and try as I might I just can't work out how Cooper's movement is a natural one. Agreed. He looks at him as he brings his foot down. If it's an accident, you'd think he'd offer some sort of apology, rather than trotting off as if nothing happened. The who...

Re: Back from the game - Leeds (H)

To my shame my first home game of the season and only my second overall, having travelled to Fulham for our annual thrashing. For a change I sat in the North Stand, left of the goal. I might be accused of hyperbole, but that first half was pretty much as good, in pure footballing terms, as a perform...

Re: CeLOLtic

I know the league is bobbins, but nevertheless Rodgers does deserve some credit for making the team as irresistible as they are, domestically. 35 wins and 2 draws from 37 domestic games, 105 scored, 19 conceded. That's some record. I disagree that the league makes them fundamentally less prepared fo...

And, as predicted, one impact of Ibrahimovic at United has been that Rashford is now a shadow of the player that he was.

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Agreed re Barkley, VM, he is developing an unfortunate habit in pressure situations. I feel for him a little - clearly talented and looked like becoming a mainstay of the England side, but he hasn't played a minute in the last 6 squads he has been selected for. It must be frustrating. On the tackles...

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C6b93fmUoAAADZK.jpg I understand Lineker getting overexcited as he used to play for them but the others must be putting that on a bit. Has Owen shown that much movement since he was about 23? tbf i did almost the same thing If you're a neutral then i guess seeing somethi...

Victor Meldrew Yet another top performance against one of the better teams-Burnley next week is a big worry.

Bizarre season!
5 defeats, and 4 of them against teams that were in the relegation zone at the time of the game.

Re: Relegate half the Premier League?

I think that actually achieves the opposite of the sentiment of the article, in that it means no additional sides get promoted, whilst more PL teams are staring nervously at the financial abyss.

Not football but had me chuckling. Venezuelan skier who had only trained on wheeled skis races on snow for the first time, at the world cross-country championships.

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Liverpool's form really has fallen off the proverbial cliff over the last few months. How a team of that standing, and with the investment they've had, can be playing Lucas at centre half I don't know. I watched a fair bit of last nights game and as good as Leicester were, Liverpool really were awf...

genome My favourite recent stat is that Kante has made more tackles + interceptions in the Premier League in the last two seasons combined, than any other player in the last three seasons combined.

Wow.
That rather trumps RR's assertion.

That makes no sense to me. Chelsea's system was so effective in part because Lampard was so good in his role.

Re: Rumour - Scott Hogan

If we had the money I think Hogan for £9-million at the moment is a no-brainer. If we don't go up and in the likely event of him playing well for us for the rest of the season we then flog him to a Premiership team and make a nice profit. Lovely jubbly, everyone's happy. Or he gets injured, again, ...
