Re: Safe standing progress

Sadly, it'll need somebody standing up in a seated area at a game to topple over to their death before the government will take their fingers out of their ears and listen. You can't force 1000s of people to sit down if standing as is the case in most games these days. Logistically impossible. Theref...

Re: BFTG - Preston -Home

Barnsley have a very winnable game in hand against Forest. If they win that the gap is back to 2 points. Not close to being safe yet.

Re: BFTG Villa

At least under Stam we'd retain the ball and make the other team work for it, and I'm sure we'd have managed more than the 1 shot on target we've had in the last 2 games...

Re: The road from here....

Relegation to League One would set this club back 5-10 years. I still think Stam has a great future and I want him to turn it around but we can't risk relegation - so he has to go.

One87One So what have the club agreed to do re: solid back panels?

Scrap it and instead give DJ MEGAPARTY a pay rise

Re: Who could replace Stam?

Perservering with the style is the way forward. Going to take time to build the squad to achieve it though. Much depends on bringing youngsters up through the ranks playing the Reading way. Not just academy, but players from lower leagues with potential. Well that's BT's vision. Stam's done a prett...

Re: BFT £&*@!! - Burton

Tevreden's vision as DoF is emulating the Ajax model - youth development and the "Dutch" style of play/total football. That's why Stam was brought in as manager - to implement that style of play. Unfortunately over the last couple of years that style of play has failed spectacularly on a n...

Dick Habbin's hairdo Swift MotM. Smart, intelligent, hardworking.

I have to disagree. He was partially at fault for both goals.

Re: What is wrong?

What is wrong:
  • - Summer recruitment failed to address gaps in squad
  • - Last year's top goal scorer injured

Sacking the manager will not fix either of those

Re: Sheffield Utd - Back from the game

We always struggle against big, strong teams so the result was not a surprise for me

Performance was concerning but again if you don't play a striker you're not going to score goals? Feels like the season is a write off unless BT has something up his sleeve for Jan

Except we don't have two fit strikers?

Am I the only one who blames the board for this run of form? If our only proven striker is out injured surely we're going to stop scoring goals. It would've been the case at any point last season too.

Are you seriously expecting anybody working at Reading FC to have the slightest hint of common sense? These are the same people who have paid DJ MEGAPARTY for the past 2 years and continue to play that awful goal music
