Re: Ex Players

Thought he was a very important player for us and we certainly missed him when he left. Scored a worldy goal at home against a team I can't quite remember (Charlton?). Blackburn - Brian’s first game back in his second spell Williams was OK - didn’t think he was as good as people thought and he didn...

Re: Where do we go from here 21/22 season?

£3mill Baldock - again he's not scored but he has the acceleration and reading of the game that was used to deadly effect by recent managers in relegation dogfights... we have an attacking lineup that would make most drool and have spent most of the season debating who we'd leave out. £8million Pus...

Re: Where do we go from here 21/22 season?

Yeah I do think it's a tad harsh on Pauno to be judged on a "plan b" given that we have had very few games when we have had a full squad to pick from and the two senior players who have been available have been Aluko and Baldock. That being said I don't really know why Aluko was hardly use...

Re: Where do we go from here 21/22 season?

If our owners are willing and able to support us and find a way through FFP then we will be in a stronger position than a lot of clubs in the league. We can get some of the higher wage misses off the books and try again. I'd feel a lot more confident if we had a manager with a proven record in the ...

Re: Where do we go from here 21/22 season?

For me I would really like to see us try and get FFP under control now even if it means battling to stay up over the next few seasons. Personally would sell - Olise Puscas Moore Swift Not due to ability or importance to the team but you could probs bring in 20/25 mil and move a significant amount fr...

Re: Finances

Which is right and proper, because it's that sort of spending that has totally oxf*rd clubs as soon as the alleged bankroll has disappeared. No, it’s skewed way too far the other way. There should be no reason the owners can’t inject their own money into the club in a more substantial way than they...

Where do we go from here 21/22 season?

Given the chances of play-offs now look slim to none given various teams run ins I've began to wonder what direction the club moves in for next season. At first glance given a successful season this year you would expect it to be more of the same. However given the likelihood of some of the big name...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Derby County (h)

We didn’t play particularly great and we rode our luck at times, but all in all it’s the results that matter now and not the performances Stand out players for me were Holmes, Laurent and Puscas with most of the others doing OK - although Rafael made a couple of decent saves at 0-0 so deserves cred...

Re: England - the future....

I'd be anxious about throwing Pope in at a major tournament. Scott Carson and Robert Green show the risks of doing that. If Pope is the future, we should build him up through qualifying and get stability at the back. As it is, there is stability between Pickford and the likes of Stones and Maguire ...

Re: A Few Thoughts on the Last Eight Games

A few random observations: Do the players not want to play in the Premier League and if they no they need to put extra effort in? Do they not realise that if we go up then any contracts offered will be better? Is this part of the reason that no contracts have been renewed, as the powers that be wan...

Re: A Few Thoughts on the Last Eight Games

I think the solution is play JOAO as the solo striker as per and play Meite on the right /cutting in/ partly-free role where he's best. Even if he wasn't scoring out there we need power and speed on the wing Just because Meite is big doesn't mean he need to be CF This is spot on, Meite is at his be...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Birmingham City (a)

Think I'd go .....................Cabral Yiadom, Morrison, Moore, Richards Meite, Semedo, Laurent, Olise .................Puscas, Joao There's a few goals in that side. It's certainly an option but Olise has been really effective in the current formation. I suppose its a question of whether our not...

Simon's Church Surely when playing against 10 men, the 2 players you want on the ball most are ejaria and Olise?

That would be the logical thought
