Re: Racism Shame

The behaviour is shameful, but this kid looks like he's only 16. I'd say an 18 - 24 month ban from the SCL is sufficient given he's also had the shame of his face and name all over social media. Hopefully he can learn the right lessons from this (and I don't mean hiding his identity better). Nah. B...

Re: The footballer gets arrested thread

Quincy Promes is hiding in Russia, and in the short-term might avoid jail, despite being handed an 18-month prison sentence for stabbing his brother at a party. Russia won't extradite him. Promes is also now on trial for his part in a cocaine smuggling ring, and prosecutors, in his absence from the ...

Re: Weekend Football

Mate was there last night. Had a text from him that just said 'kkk 'kin hell, Fulham'.

I like to think the team that put them out had a slow and painful realisation as they did so. Absolutely hilarious.

Re: European Leagues Thread 2012/2013

Don't know if anything has changed and hence their domination, but as far as I remember, Stenhousemuir is part owned by its fans, and the supporters' trust is the largest shareholder.

Re: Record Watch 23/24

Pah, if its not an FL record its not worth talking about. Never seen it said to be an actual record. Have to say Ian, I'll decide if I want to talk about something. You can join in or not. Fwiw, and obviously you won't talk about it as it's not worth it, I think 33 games unbeaten is a tougher ask t...

Re: Record Watch 23/24

13 wins from the start of the season? Probably around game 6 next season. Arsenal hold the unbeaten record, don't they? Went an entire season. As above, was referencing 33 games unbeaten, which I thought was a Championship level record. Pah, if its not an FL record its not worth talking about. Neve...

Re: Record Watch 23/24

Southampton's form has gone a little under the radar. Despite Leicester 'running away with it', they are only eight points behind in third. The Saints lost four in a row in September, and those are their only league defeats this season, currently unbeaten in their last 20 games. When do we start wo...

Re: Old Timey Football Thread

Silver Fox Solid edit, we now just need to work out who came as Hitler, fortunately it may have been a lesser known player so no need to cancel them

That's David Burrows, fwiw.

Second left on the front row could be Andy Robertson's previous incarnation. Is uncanny.

Re: Record Watch 23/24

I'll start to feel comfortable if they drop more points in the next five - none of which is against a team currently higher than 9th.

Re: Weekend Football

It's almost impossible to agree with Joey Barton on anything, but he's spot on here. So a player comes back from gambling ban to play in a kit sponsored by a gambling company against a team sponsored by another gambling company. The game is live on a TV channel who have their own gambling company. W...

Re: European Leagues Thread 2012/2013

Fcuking Utrecht! PSV's 100% league record comes to an end, with a 1-1 draw away from home. And it is now 21 games without a win this season for Almeria, albeit it took a 99th minute Real Madrid goal to defeat them this week. Dating back to May, they have now gone 24 games in La Liga without a victor...

Re: Weekend Football

winter break Fr? Why did some teams play then? Gameweek 21 has now been split across two weeks so each team will have one weekend off. This. Is basically a sop to the TV companies, isn't it? They have managed to maintain a pretty normal schedule despite there being a winter break. Leaves the PL fee...

Race for the European Golden shoe: 1. Harry Kane - 21 goals - 42 points 2. Akor Adams - 22 goals - 36.5 points 3. Kylian Mbappe - 18 goals - 36 points 4. Amahl Pellegrino - 24 goals - 36 points 5. Serhou Guirassy - 17 goals - 34 points Kane on 22 goals and 44 points now I think. Mbappe 19 (38). Mar...

Re: Weekend Football

Not sure what Ivan Toney is playing at. Obviously has previous, apologised for a leaked video where he could be heard saying 'fcuk Brentford, they are shit'. And the club has stood by him during his gambling ban, and now he does an interview on the eve of his return saying that of course he wants to...

Re: Youtube - Football related spare thread

Apropos of nothing, was reminded last night of Jan Molby. What a player he was. He was Le Tissier before Le Tissier was a thing. Had a certain, well, body type, but was a sublime passer of the football, hugely skilful on the ball and had a right foot like a missile launcher. The absolute state of th...

One of the greatest managers of all time, but he's arguably done very little for five or six years now. Wonder if he might go to China/Saudi.

Re: Weekend Football

I'm in two minds on this. Generally speaking I want the correct decision to be arrived at. And I think that they did. What I don't understand is why it took over three minutes to get there. Draw the lines, make the call. I really like the Wenger rule for the game, fwiw. It's going to result in a lot...
