How about planting 50kg of cocaine in the basement of his London mansion and convincing the tabloids that he's supplying Buckingham Palace?

Any useful protest ideas to be had from Charlton who i think had similar issues with Du Chatelet? When they finally got shot of him (2020?) I think they went through a couple more changes in ownership before their present owners. It needs to get dirty and nasty. What's the most you can do to make h...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Lincoln City (a)

Takes away hope that away results will improve. Also suggests nothing is close to being resolved and management are making the tough choices to keep the show on the road. A couple of weeks ago we had hope that we were near the bottom. Not any more. 23rd is about as close to the bottom without being...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

But people don't know the context. If a deal was close and he brought Samuelson in to add another party and throw everything off, fine hatred is justified. If the Genevra deal was about to fall through and there are serious concerns about the club surviving the season, by all means do a deal with th...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Anybody else starting to get seriously concerned that Dai's not going this season? If there are 4 parties interested in buying Reading, there will be 4 sets of du diligence, 4 sets of negotiations. The owner will be playing these offers against one another, its an auction of sorts. Depending on who...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Seeing some real hatred for Howe online, with nobody really specifying why. This is a man who was CEO over our most successful era, and a time when the club had values we were proud of. I'd be very surprised if he is trying to screw us over. And if he is bringing less than ideal candidates to the ta...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Again, why? Let's reject £30m and then let the club be liquidated so I get fcuk all. The most likely explanation is he likes the gaming mindset, and he'd rather liquidation rather than "lose" in negotiations. But even then, he and many others lose out big time in a liquidation scenario. H...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Administration probably But it's not logical. Who in their right mind would reject a bid, put us into administration, lose control of the sale process and in all likelihood receive a lot less? If none of the bids are up to his asking price, the only logical response would be to fund the club again,...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

What does it mean if true? It's taken months to reach this point. Presumably it was the best bid available to Dai, and nobody starting negotiations from scratch now would offer better.

Re: Ex Players

Liam Moore really is a microcosm of the Dai era. He was one the last pre Dai signings (arguably the last given Dai funded the following January). Young but with Championship experience, plenty of scope to improve and initially he looked like a great signing. We then made the decision not to sell at ...

Re: Ex Players

It's staggering how with only a handful of better decisions we could be Sell Moore for ~£8m - net gain ~£14m Don't buy Aluko - net gain ~£8m Sell Loader - net gain ~£3m Sell Swift - net gain ~£5m Don't buy Ejaria - net gain ~£4m Don't buy Puscas - net gain ~£3m I make that almost £40m better off an...

Re: Ex Players

Think Jaap getting harsh press for these comments. He basically said we signed the wrong players, and he's right. His successful team lost 3 massive players in Al-Habsi, Williams and Kermogant (okay he featured but it wasn't the same). I do wonder if he could have retained a decent level with better...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Never heard of Joe, does he have a track record of getting stuff right? Never before recently. The first time he posed as "ITK" he said the sale was basically agreed, and then a week later James Earnshaw reported that exclusivity with Genevra was imminent. So reasonable success rate there...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Someone tweeting "a source" stating Genevra have walked away due to Dai making new demands. Unverified but definitely believable. Would other bidders come back to the table or would Dai's conduct put them off? We've seen with Moore and Loader he's unreliable to negotiate with. Presumably ...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

If Dai just wants to kill us like his 2 other clubs how does that actually work? I understand that only Dai can put us into administration, which would most likely result in new ownership and a points deduction, but we’d survive as a club. However, what would be the main trigger for the club to be ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Oxford United (h)

And it's confidence really. Having the technique to make a 10 yard pass and identifying the right option should be 2nd nature to footballers. But when confidence is short, you 2nd guess what should come naturally, particularly in front of a nervous crowd which many of these guys are dealt with. Of c...
