Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (a) sponsored by Dylan Kerr

My thoughts are just that Baldock is so injury prone and just come back. If Joao was fit I’d definitely go with Sam but it’s a big concern

I’d get Olise in somewhere. Think he’s quality

I’d be happy enough to start Gunter. That’s definitely ‘maybe’

Re: BFTG - Forest

I believe I am the only Reading fan, player or pundit who believes that their goal was legitimate - from my excellent view in Y19 it was a valid award of the corner and the ball did not go out in the build up. I wait with baited breath for the EFL highlights to most probably be proved wrong  I...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Nottingham Forest (h) sponsored by James Lambert

Well that was some finish Decent enough game, we were good second half but last 15 got tired and didn’t create a lot Forest certainly didn’t look like scoring and their goal was out of the blue (though had that sense of inevitability after a dodgy corner decision) We certainly more than matched a te...

Re: Swift to... Southampton

There is never a bad time to get £100m + £60m in parachute payments. Exactly. Bank that then work from there If you are sensible, worse than can happen is you come back down but with a huge chunk of cash The problem is that is almost never what happens. The fact is, what normally happens is fans de...

Two I can think of are Brighton (H) (2 points) Derby (A) - 3 points Maybe that's it actually. 5 points then, thought there were a couple of others yep checked through quickly - that was it. Brighton was the one I was half remembering - Derby completely forgot about Actually thinking about it, think...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

How tall is he? Says 6ft 3 inches here https://www.sportbible.com/football/news-meet-the-16-year-old-6-foot-2-goalkeeper-playing-seven-years-above-20190520 however i have seen him play a fair bit and i would have said 5ft 11 max !!! Don't remember many lads at school being 6'3! When I watched him I...

Re: Swift to... Southampton

I do feel like this season it would be a step too far. We'd need so much work and have only very recently got a y confidence and form together. Our winning mentality would be very fragile. A solid season, strengthen and promotion next year or the one after would be more ideal IMO. We'd have a bette...

Re: Rumour - Glenn Murray

I’d say any 2 up front has to include Baldock.

If it’s one up front then I’d rather Joao or Puscas

Main issue with Baldock is, and has always been here, and that’s his dreadful injury record

Every time he gets a bit of form he seems to then pick up a 3/4 week injury

Re: Swift to... Southampton

I can only think of Brighton and maybe Fulham who built over a couple of seasons to promotion in recent history. Brighton have just about held their own, and Fulham came straight down. Was it too early for Sheff Utd? Nope. Basically if the chance comes along, you 100% go for it and sort your shit ou...

Re: Rumour - Vito Mannone

apparently rejected the contract offer from Minnesota, from my understanding hes on mega-money, one of, if not the highest-paid player at the club. I wonder if any transfers in are dependant on him leaving this window. https://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/vito-mannone-minnesota...

Re: Rival Watch

Rhodes is a weird one, he used to bang them in consistently with Blackburn, been a complete flop pretty much ever since. I don’t think going to Boro was the best career move for him considering Blackburn played to his strengths and Boro under Karanka weren’t exactly the most offensive team Even Mad...

Can’t see this happening with Joao, Puscas, Meite and Baldock all fit

Would do a good job for someone no doubts but I’d rather stick with Joao

Re: Rival Watch

Fletcher is a big loss

Interesting that Cardiff let Madine go for free (8m quid, no goals for them) - wouldn’t be surprised to see him end up there, but not sure what the Wednesday transfer situation is like

Can’t find out too much about him. Seems quite tall and fast from the video clips I’ve seen

Not an exciting signing on the face of it but would be cheap

Re: Rumour - Josh Laurent

interesting that he is on the radar. Be nice and cheap, low risk gamble etc. Not too sure where he'd fit in currently though

Got a great name as well (if wikipedia is to be believed): Joshua Ishaele Jacob-Heron Hunt-Laurent
