Re: Can't be bothered anymore

Wasn't it great to see West Ham and Millwall fans doing their level best to bring back the "good old days" last night. I agree with the sentiment that football has become horribly commercial and is being taken away from the traditional values but as last night showed it's not going to chan...

Re: Back from the game - Barnsley

Thought Antonio was awful tbh. He was very quick but was careless when in possession tricking himself on numerous occasions and the same could also be said of Bignall. As for Henry he was quite good in the first half and put a very good ball in the box for Mooney and threatened whilst playing closer...

Re: The Tommy Smith Thread

Personally I can't see why the club has wasted so much time on Smith signing when they could have signed him for free next summer. I'd imagine we could've signed two or three other players of sufficient quality in the time this has taken and not payed so much for someone who I quite frankly believe...

Re: STAR AGM on Thursday

They may be producing some nice passing but as yet I have not seen any indication that Coppell was wrong not to play the youngsters en masse last season. There's a difference between playing youngsters 'en masse' and giving them opportunities. For example, Siggursson and Karacan looked better in mi...

Re: Rogers must go? (POLL)

Never thought I'd see the day when fans started to believe we actually have 'divine right'. You should be ashamed of yourselves if this is what you truly believe. It's 4 games. FOUR. Will Ipswich be sacking Roy Keane as well then? Is Martin O'Neill going to get the boot at Villa? Time some people s...

Re: Swansea V Reading Official Match Thread

Poor but, yet again!! a better result than Coppell and his favorites managed last season after nearly 5 years in charge. I really think Church should be rested on Saturday and I'd like Tim Dellor (how Mick Gooding resists the temptation to smack him in the mouth I don't know :| ) to baby sit so tha...

Kanu sounds like Kebe mark II. No composure infront of goal at all.

As the season is now over what are the predictions for next years' league one campaign?

Or will the world have ended by then?

You haven't offended me at all. If you had I would have complained about the message.

Re: Gone for a Burton, Back from the game thread

I'm talking about one player in particular, not the others. Henry's getting picked accused of having an attitude problem when there is no evidence to back it up apart from people noticing that he's unhappy when he loses the ball, Which is understandable when he's playing for the team he's supported...

Re: Gone for a Burton, Back from the game thread

Coppell used to talk about how kids from Berkshire were too nice too succeed and needed to be more ruthless if they wanted to get in the team. So what if Henry's got an attitude you don't want some shrinking violet out there with no confidence.[/quote] Not exactly the same thing is it. I don't think...

Re: Rumour: James Harper (talks with Wolves confirmed)

Excellent! So...a player, one of the best players ever to have represented RFC (Yes Royalee, we did exist before 1998) with a fantastic attitude is deemed worthy of a place in a Premier League Team Squad, is best got rid of at any cost. You really are a clueless oxf*rd He's not one of the best play...

Re: Gone for a Burton, Back from the game thread

Sadly Kebe is currently our best bet on the left. Even if he personally bolloxs up the vast majority of what he creates. If HRK can get himself properly involved and start producing quality more often and more consistently, then I think we could see him moved across to the left side and Henry come ...

I'd like to see Kebe play in an unfamiliar central midfield role the way Henry did last night and see how he would get on.

Re: Mick Gooding to tone down his accent?

Upper West Ginger I usually enjoy his commentary, but his references to "Robson-Canoe" today made me chuckle.

I'm sure his assertion that we had played well against Derby didn't go down too well with any Forest fans listening.

Re: Back From The Game - Nottm Forest

Not sure why Rosenior has got so much stick, made one last ditch tackle that saved a goal and I presume that the “hoofs” he’s being criticised for were the two well executed arced passes down the line that set up two of our most dangerous attacks. Pearce was my MOTM, the passing game obviously suit...
