Re: STAR Royalty Points

Scrappy - if STAR with its 1000 plus members and democratic processes can't realistically be seen as the true voice of supporters - who can? A bloke Jonny Fordham talks to in the street? 25 people who happen to be on-line on HNA at that particular moment? Someone random phoning into Radio Berks? If ...

Re: Family Club of the Year

Reading won an award for "engaging female supporters" - the opposition they were up against must of been crap as I have absolutely no idea as to what they have done to "engage me"! YEEE! And maybe next year, after families and females, it'll be the turn of middle-aged male f*cke...

Re: The Southbank sit down protest

There was also a pitch invasion after Port Vale 0-3 in 1998 - cracking picture in Rusting Tin. SJM promptly left the country for 18 months!

And was there some lone anti-Hurley raider came on (v Lincoln 1975???) that got us a reprimand from the FA?

Re: Reading v City History Question

In 1968 we played in all white in both games. Can't recall Reading using this kit before or since really. The FA Cup tie rules are that both teams chnage in a colour clash and that rule is raely observed these days - but sometiomes in the final. In the 60s we used to play in red shirts / white short...

Re: 7th Place!

The FSF has analysed every club charter in the top two divisions, rating them 0-5 across a range of categories encompassing accessibility, timeliness, quality, clarity of complaints procedure, appeals process, and contacts for the relevant league and Independent Football Ombudsman. Reading came 7th...

Re: Clubs you hate

but you have no evidence that that is the case have you? Tom Bower has never been sued for his chapter on Redknapp in Broken Dreeams (?). What Redknapp says and what he does seem to be at near complete variance. Anyway he's part of the reason for Portsmouth being No1 hated club (along with the viol...

A Swindon player was att he centre of the early 60s match fiximg scandal - jail for him I guess but no impact on the club.

Re: Perspective

I prefer to work on precedents - in this case the number of points gained by the 6th placed club in the past 15 seasons (the length of the current format of the division). The average is 73.4. 9 of the 15 teams placed 6th have had 74 or more points. So, to have a good shout this season we'll need 20...

Re: SHAUN LONG?!! (Media don't like us /can't spell thread)

Last night the ITV commentator at City thought Everton would be their next opponents! Then all these references to it being our only third appearance in the QF's - dissing our heritage by 25%. 2011 - City (a) 2010 - Villa (h) 2-4 1927 - Swansea (a) 3-1 1901 - Spurs (h) 1-1, 0-3 Dissing our H...

Tilehurst End Barry Wagstaff v Barrow I think.

Week before the Arsenal 1-2 (scored all 3 goals) cup game.

Les Chappell, wet day, Tilehurst End, programme cup vouchers, Harry Thomson blinder in the Barrow goal.

B Wag scored v Arse.

Surely im not the only ST holder whos wondering if they can really be bothered to go tomorrow night? I have that debate with myself every week, mostly due to my utter bone-idleness though Millwall is usually one of the better games to look forward to - certainly in terms of liveliness / tastiness -...
