Re: Nine Very Difficult Games - Predictions?

Hound I know it matters little, but would be really nice not to finish below Millwall and QPR

Re: BFTG - Boro (A)

Dave Edwards gets an unfair rep. Yeah, he wasn't the best, but he grafted and seems like a great guy. Great to see Fernandez showing an interest too! Fabulous stuff. Tbf I think that’s exactly how everyone sees Edwards Really? Judging by the social media comments whenever he was picked, you...

Re: The Danny Loader conundrum

Bit of an ask to send a teenage lad over to the continent. LOL, The Lads agent was trying to get him a permanent move to Germany before the Club gave him an extended contract, Loader himself was up for the move. The best I’ve seen him play was against the U23-39 Bayern Muenchen 2nd team. He was a r...

Re: BFTG - Baggies

An excellent point. Just one gripe. Was it really necessary to boo HRK. Quite a few of our fans booed him when he was on our team, so unsurprising. The nightmare WAS him scoring. (though I kept my boos for the star ref). Gayle didn’t fall over on the half-way line, and the genius ref didn’t point t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : West Bromwich Albion (h) sponsored by Brian Howard

Still trying to decide on an acceptable approach to tomorrow. Other than a sense of dread. Can’t fully anaesthetise at the Nag’s beforehand, as I’m going with my son. Getting secretly pissed afterwards will possibly only add to mental scars. May have to bring trusty Rugby hip flask. And rose-tinted ...

Re: Gomes after 10 League Games

Typical Team Board. The guy has turned us around and there are if, buts and even people seeming to be preparing for him to eventually fail. I doubt that any Reading supporter wants a manager to fail. The club isn't in the best of financial health. Re-establishing ourselves as a competitive Champion...

You're taking this way too seriously, but should probably bear in mind not everyone wants to support in the same way. Absolutely. My son & I moved our STs to the Y’s just because the ED North stand we just couldn’t contribute to. I can’t knit, and have no idea who makes the best dishwasher. Oh,...

Re: BFTG - Brentford

Despite my reservations about Gomes tactical awareness. Gomes comes across as a great man manager. Biggest improvement is the atmosphere. The cohesive spirit that bonds the players to the terraces is growing with every game. Kelly's lack of game time shows he's not afraid to make tough decisions ei...

Whoops  Only the once, though Ipswich 1-2 Reading (Barrow in the 98th minute) Reading 3-2 Wigan (Barrow 89, Meite 97) and Barrow assists Meite at Norwich, then Rhino scores in 96th But last minute(s) goal at Ipswich, last minutes at home to Wigan, yesterday... that's five points extra (at the...

Anyone else feels like a win? especially with the other results :D Best draw since Aston Villa in August, that also felt amazing. Our household is not usually screaming at the telly repeatedly. Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

The Munich fans were loud, but I thought chanting a piss take of Rule Britannia was a bit much. Did they perchance think they were facing an England squad? I am sure they thought the same when C1871 starting singing God Save The Queen, It's Coming Home and 10 German Bombers. TBH C1871 were so quiet...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Thought Loader was excellent first half..only caveat is that he’s another skills merchant, rather than poacher / finisher, but still, a laugh to watch, in a good way. Second half we seemed to tire much more than their squad, a fitness issue that I hadn’t expected in their age range. This unfortunate...

Re: Injury & Suspension Watch : 2018/2019

Rinomhota made all the difference. He come back in and the midfield and overall team balance looks so much more assured. On top of that he was superb (yet again) despite 7/8 weeks out injured and, though only playing since the xmas/new year really, is quite definitely a serious contender for PoTS. ...

Great afternoon that I wasn’t too hopeful about. The first half Preston (is there a better South End?) looked at each other a lot in a way that would seem spookily familiar to Reading players three months ago. Don’t get low attendance. Not on TV. Gorgeous weather. WTF? The gate was decent at just u...
