I thought that Taylor's career in the top flight ended because he was a bit shit really, and only capable of dragging himself up to anything approaching the necessary standard by kicking lumps out of more talented players.

It looks to me as though the other players have lost belief. With Gylfi there we seemed to exude confidence - now that has gone and without a regular goalscorer, it is hard to see how the players can get it back. andrew, I think you are being too modest, surely there is some motivational technique ...

He's not a good target man if he needs to play off a big striker.

You may be right that he is the best target man we have, but that doesn't mean he's any good.

I think that Long is an easy scapegoat personally. One of the reasons we did so well at the end of last season was that Shane created chances for others - particularly Gylfi to score.
