Re: Spurs (A) *Match Thread* sponsored by Gylfi Sigurdsson

Leigertwood has not had a bad game; Guthrie has been the chief culprit of giving the ball away today.

Re: Spurs (A) *Match Thread* sponsored by Gylfi Sigurdsson

Defending well other than conceding from a corner, which was criminal. Their efforts have since then been long shots. Harte coping better than I expected with Lennon. Leigertwood having a nightmare again, always giving it away. He can't be in our starting line up again after today; dropped for the n...

Re: Speculation - Tom Rogic

Probably a bit much to expect him to step up and save our season; one for the future. Sounds like a very good bit of business; just because we need some PL experience, doesn't mean we should switch off our usual scouting network and overlook young talent.

Re: No longer a Rumour - Daniel Carriço

Seems an excellent signing; lets hope he's taking Legeirtwood's place in the team and not paving the way for Pearce's departure.

Re: RUMOUR - Stoppila Sunzu

New CB not much use without more quality brought into midfield to offer more protection. Even Vidic would have problems marshalling this side towards a clean sheet.

Re: We're not actually far away from a half decent side

That's two signings, two returns from injury and a rehabilitation, along with a change of style and formation. It's a pretty long way. And I think you may be being overly positive about Pearce, Morrison, Karacan, Cummings & HRK Well not Cummings; he's dropped from the above. Agreed Pearce and M...

We're not actually far away from a half decent side

I read the rumour about Huddlestone and it got me thinking Federici (Not ideal but will do) New signing - Pearce - Morrisson - Shorey Karacan - New signing - Guthrie Kebe HRK Pog Add in another new signing such as Sig/Arshavin to potentially play as "number 10" or offer an extra option on ...

Re: How Long Will BM Last at this rate?????

The big difference between sacking Rodgers and potentially sacking McD is that the team in 2009 simply should not have been close to the bottom. They should have been too good to go down, and were being held back by a manager trying to change everything too quickly and not playing to the players' st...

Re: Yet Another Updated Poll. Stay or Go after Sunderland lo

Devastated to see myself voting "sack", but I have. A thoroughly likeable guy, who worked miracles in his first 2 and a half years. Yet out of his depth at this level; unable to look beyond his hoof ball 4-4-2, unable to manage better players and looking clueless and out of ideas. He must ...

Re: Next season in the Championship, I'm looking forward to.

Last time we went down and tried a new brand of football, Rodgers was just too hapless for us and nearly took us to League 1. I think this season has really shown up how out of date our brand of football is; we're like England at an international tournament in the knock outs - outclassed once we com...

Re: Alex Pearce

People just quoting figures are taking them out of context I imagine. Pearce deserves to be on at least the same wages as Fedders, and is watching Pog and Guthrie take home far more than he is probably being offered and adding very little to our squad. He's our player of the season and he has belief...

Re: Positive fans must go

I struggle to see what moaning about players and management will do; we have a lack of options and a lack of quality. We even had Bryn on the bench today. Leigertwood is an excellent example; very rarely looks capable of stepping up to this level. So who can we replace him with? Nobody, until Januar...

Re: Sean Morrison

Great game yesterday, but I remember the first time we played Khalifa Cisse at CB he was a "revelation" and that was clearly not the case in the long run.

He's showing promise, has had some solid form on loan, but I'll wait a little longer before hyping him up.

Re: Tabb Haters, where are you now?

Have to admit, after the Swansea match I thought he was miles out of his depth in the PL, but fair play, great shift yesterday. Even played a brilliant 25 yard cross field pass to HRK's feet; never knew he was capable of that. More often he just kept it simple and tidy in the centre; good game.

Much as he is a knob head, and his loaves and fishes comment was outrageously disrespectful, he has been pretty accurate with a lot of his assessments of us this season.

Re: Record watch

RFC already have 6 points from 10 games. So did Derby :| Derby had one lucky win against Newcastle and had lost a lot more than us. We've been competitive in all games we've player other than Spurs too, and whilst we probably not good enough to survive, we're unquestionably better than that Derby t...

Re: The reffing...

How big was the Ba decision in the context of our season? Our ability to take leads and play decent football at stages makes me think that we're really struggling with nerves and the mental block of being yet to win a league match. Well we would have won that match, on the back of QPR. Maybe we'd ha...

Is the team/squad spirit still as strong as last year?

I know; another negative thread. In answer to my original question, we bounced back late against Fulham twice, and brought ourselves back into it tonight against Arsenal in ET when all seemed lost. We only conceded the 6th by going for the winner. Yet somehow it doesn't all seem well. Last season, i...

Re: Predictions for QPR

I know tonight will take a lot out of the players, but we have 5 days....enough time to physically recover.

We need a win from somewhere desperately soon, as players' nerves will be shredded when they try to hold leads at the moment.
