As long as you keep calling them "plastics" you don't got no community. Would you want to join a club where you were reviled every time your name was mentioned. To be fair the 'plastic' term is really only used by a small number of people on this board. I don't think anyone visiting the g...

If we pay someone £25,000 a week then that's £1.3million a year or £3.9 million over a 3 year deal. Add in loads of extras (signing on fee, loyalty bonus, playing bonuses, sundry expenses) and add in employers costs like insurance, NI, health care etc etc etc and it becomes obvious that even if w...

Alan Partridge I'd do it, at least you would have someone with an idea about the game in the position.

The  saves you from everyone pointing out that we seem to have done OK over the last decade with someone who has 'no idea' about the game at the helm !!

£2 for Michael Kightly sounds good

The sales values for our outgoing players are astounding. Fair play to Nicky Hammond if he can get them !

Hahnemann struggles with just about every goalkeeping aspect apart from actual shot stopping. . One hell of an achievement for him to have made it to being a Premiership player and international then. You'd imagine there must be people out there who can actually do it all and Hahnemann would never ...

Huntley & Palmer Marcus was one of the best keepers in the league as well according to the stats. So that about sums up how accurate they are

The stats are accurate, they are just badly interpreted...

Riseley I think our stewards are wonderful. The time I got threatened with removal of my ST for throwing shredded paper is just one example of their superb customer service skills.

The paper was very poorly shredded though....

I would think the principle would be that STAR is able to consider any issue from the point of view of the fans, spot where there might be concenrs or differences and make sure the club are made aware of that. STAR doesn;t HAVE to argue the case for any one fan or group of fans, pointing out that th...

I started bringing the 2 grandsons 3 years ago when they wanted to go to watch a live match. We travel from Sunny Slough to every game with home and away season tickets. There are a number of Royals in Slough but if Reading were better represented in the town there could be many more. Most kids in S...

Behindu you seem to be the voice of the stewards on here. Are you a spy? Ha ! No - relax !! And Athletico be assured that the pitch comes first every time. But at the same time I like to know what actually goes on and try and find out rather than jumping up and down moaning about stuff. I don;t kno...

Gus the teenage cow Howe lacks credibility, he's not a football man

Gus lacks credibility

The Team isn;t part of Howe's remit. We employ Hammond and Coppell to look after that and Howe sorts out the rest.

And ask his uncle Don if Nigel has any football heritage.

Why use the one of the least attractive games as your Benchmark? Seeign as though both the games with Chelsea and Arsenal have gone on general sale could argue those two as well. What I'm saying is that we play 4 home games against the 'elite' 15 others against the not so elite. I'm not going onto ...

He does...

And you could probably put a decent arguement in favour if you defined your terms well enough. I don;t think he's meaning how many pubs there are nearby.

No. According to the RBC Committee Report :- First stage is adding 6,600 seats to the East Stand, taking capacity to about 30,800 (see page 239). The second stage will expand the N & S, taking the total to 36,900 (see page 235). Your friendly neighbourhood pedant. I'm not sure even those number...

If only Howe had said 'We're not sure what we want to be really, perhaps we'll muddle alomg for another season or two and then get relegated. Who knows...' Would Mr PArtridge have been happy ? Frankly what Howe says is what you'd expect him to say - they want to move up a level from where they have ...

Did we have stewards in the South Bank? Yes I'm intregued by this steward who told you off for shouting ! It must have been someone who had a headache or just was having a bad day. It's not something any steward would have been instructed to deal with and rather being a 'jobsworth' I'd suggest they...

You'd get extra fans at every game - we'd increase the away allocation for a start. It's a business decision and as such the people who know the costs / risks will make it. It's clear to me the ground is too small and we are going to be constrained by it. Relegation is the only factor that makes pro...

No
2 phases.
Go to 30k by extending the East.
Then go to 38k by doing the N &S

I think 38k is a light year away whereas the sums indicate 30k is probably an ideal size for us.

The decision is fairly simple for me, and as such should be delayed, for now. Are we a stable Premiership club? We will not use 1/3 of a 38,000 ground in the Championship - it would be a complete and utter waste of money and time, and a complete embarassment. Is any one bar half a dozen clubs a sta...
