Re: Watford are not happy

BUt I don't think he did say "I'm 100% committed." Was it not more alng the lines of "for the moment I'm the Watford manager and that's what I'm focused on." Not quite the same. Watford are bound to feel p1ssed off. Good. Never liked them anyway. Viva Brendan Rodgers! Viva Readin...

Re: New manager [Merged]

These are what I think are the priorities for Reading, in order: 1 - stay viable as a club - don't overspend, don't go into adminstration, don't get sold to some dodgy cartel of oligarchs to avoid dissapearing 2 - stay in the Championship - finishing no lower than 14th for a few seaons 3 - play attr...

Re: POLL- Who should be the next manager?

How many of the managers intersted in us would have the option of another club with wads of cash? There are only a handful of clubs with real spending power - the Big four, Man City, if they could be bothered QPR, but after that, we must be a pretty good bet. A chairman that doesn't interfere, great...

Re: POLL- Who should be the next manager?

I voted Rodgers, but based mainly on his Reading connections and reputation as described by a Watford fan on this very forum... Good job it's not my choice then.

Re: Back from the game Burnley

Long drive back. Never seen so many police in all my life. Great noise from the travelling Royals. In real time it looked a penalty -I was sure - seen the incident on You Tube - maybe just outside the box, just maybe, but I don't honestly think we can complain. Bikey was a animal with that stamp. Lo...

Re: burnley team photo for saturday

Oh common, it's a fairly harmless joke. I had a quick look at a Burnley message board - it was pretty good actually, reasonable comments etc. Fair bit of Southerner stereotyping going on though, especially regarding our not selling out the away end at Turf Moor.

Re: Are we actually that far away from another great team?

Our faults are pretty easy to diagnose: Poor distribution from the centre halves - the ball coming straight back at us. A soft middle - inviting the opposition into our penaty area. Kebe intermittent, SHunt too intricate - result, poor crosses. Hopeless set plays. Unforced error after unforced error...

Re: Serious Question

Over recent years our levels of fitness have been a big differentiator for us – I don’t think they’ve become unfit or jaded. And maybe we are affected more by the pitch than some other teams, but really cannot see why. Based only on seeing home games... ...we’re always trying to play the ball too ea...

Re: New Manager On Monday

If Coppel does go at the end of the season, I have a feeling that Alan Pardew might end up back at Reading, and I sincerely mean that. Kitson coming back, Little coming back is one thing. Pardew? He didn't burn his bridges, he bombarded them into tiny little pieces, then sh@t on them for good measu...

Re: Back from the game - Ipswich

Marcus - 7 Rosenior - 3 Pearce - 5 Duberry - 4 Armstrong - 6 Little - 4 Harper - 7 Gunnarsson - 6 Shunt - 4 Kitson - 6 Long - 6 I'm feeling generous - none of them were actually as good as i've just written, except maybe Long who was OK as was Harper. And why does Harper never take the dead ball - w...

Re: Back from the game - Ipswich

You can't want the whole team replaced and then worry abaout the end of seson exodus. To me, bringing back the yougsters under a new manager might give us a new platform to push this club forwards. Next seaon in the Championship. That today was an utter shower of sh1te. Long OK, Pearce and Dubbery b...

Re: Charlton - Back From The Game...

Hard to find any positives at all. The front two were made to look worse than they were by having the ball either lobbed vaguely in thier direction or shot at them - either way, very little for them to go on. The White Pele started well but faded, Rosenior was a strange mixture of too casual and too...
