Re: Matt Mills

OK, here is a question - WHY do you need to swear? Does it make you feel all big and tough? Is it a macho thing? Maybe there is something I am missing? you are missing the fact that they are just words like any other, that they are only randomly selected by society as "bad" words, and that...

Re: Matt Mills

I'm interested in STAR's viewpoint of Matt Mills' actions (sorry if i've missed anything) IMHO, he was well out of order. I heard no booing before "the incident" (from my position of the middle of Y26), just groans of frustration of the repeated action of humping the ball towards Kebe and ...

Re: Question regarding tickets for Villa tomo.

If someone could answer this for me quickly and simply that would be great. Couple of weekends ago I lost my wallet, and inside was my RFC member card. I havent had to use it till this weekend. When I called up on Tuesday to order my Villa tickets I also purchased another member card for 2 English ...

Re: Ball 32 this Sunday

The FA cup draw hasn't been the same since Bert Millichip drew the balls out of the velvet navy blue bag. He usually did the home teams and some old pro like Peter shilton would draw the away.

And who used to do the intro? - the old FA executive - cant rememeber his name.... Kelly?

Re: Arab takeover interest reported on tribalfootball.com

I'm sure it would, but players last but a few years, where as the hotel would be part of the infrastructure and longetivity of the club for many years to come. We all want success, but pointing the failure in the premier league towards the hotel is ridiculous. For me, failure in the premier league w...

Re: Arab takeover interest reported on tribalfootball.com

I thought the hotel was running at a very tidy profit, hence the reason to extend it further?

Surely, if this all under one holding company as RFC, then that must be a good thing? SJM knows that to run a football club profitably you need more than just a football club...

Re: You're the manager - what would you do?

The only reason people are clammering for a return to 4-4-2 is because they don't understand any other system. Rodgers has abandoned 4-4-2 because he has realised that most of the top european teams who play good football have moved on from the out-dated 4-4-2 and are bearing the fruition. . That w...

Re: New Signings ?

The bid has come from Sheff Utd. Rodgers was very clear that he would get his man in the Post this morning so I guess we'll see just how keen we are. Phew. I must be the only person to be against this deal. £1.8million is a staggeringly ridiculous amount of money for someone like Tommy Smith. On th...

Re: New manager Brendan Rodgers *confirmed*

I've got to say how mightily unimpressed I've been by our official site today. Watford have quotes from Brendan and even clarification as to what has happened. Reading have a statement which can be written on the back of a stamp. Me too. I've read quotes from Rodgers, Murty and others regarding the...

Just an observation from the Palace match - when Shane Long was adjusting his shirt when waiting to come on, he showed the world a flabby, overweight stomach. I was amazed, he's 21/22, a professional footballer playing at a high level and can't keep in trim??
