Re: Rumour - Ben Heneghan

Former target whilst playing in Scotland. No surprise that we are linked again now that Howe is back at the club.

Impressed on loan at Blackpool last season. A leader and a strong chap by all accounts.

Would be cheap. A traditional Reading signing.

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

Kit reveal is traditionally and consistently late July, despite fans requests to bring it forward so it can go on sale earlier in the summer. Credit to Jonathan Low if he’s heard it’ll be brought forward this year, but he’s not the most useful of sources. There'll probably be an announcement in a c...

Re: Celtic Eye Moore

To be honest, if we are seriously thinking that one of our players wouldn't swap bottom half Championship football and year-on-year relegation fights for European football and consistent silverware, then we are pretty deluded as a fanbase. Compared to us, maybe. But it’s not deluded to think he’d c...

Re: Celtic Eye Moore

CountryRoyal Moore wouldn’t go to the SPL, he’s more ambitious than that.

Don’t be silly. He’d snap their arm off. Doesn’t matter that it’s a shambles of a league, it’s trophies, CL football... It’s a platform he can shine on and get a bigger PL move in a couple of years.

Celtic Eye Moore

Says Courtney Friday. I can’t see that one coming off. Celtic would need to part with several million and I can’t see us wanting anything other than that money up front considering how tight things are at present.

Re: Financial Fair Play

Chronicle “hearing” that Celtic want Liam Moore. I can’t imagine they can cough up £7m+ for him, and I doubt we’re prepared to spread the costs a great deal.

We know players will leave this summer though, so brace yourselves. Needs must.

Re: Financial Fair Play

Jose confirms the self-imposed transfer embargo will be lifted tomorrow. Clearly something financially has changed and we are free to sign players again.

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

We do have a new shirt sponsor, replacing the very unpopular and somewhat ugly (Oxford ish) Carabao. No word yet or when they club will make the announcement, but they’re being inundated with questions by ‘bored’ fans, so I doubt it’ll be more than a few more weeks. They may want to do the reveal al...

Re: Financial Fair Play

Nameless CAsh converters have just pulled out of a shirt sponsor deal with London Irishciting moral issues as the reason.
Perhaps they might fancy coming across to the round side ?

Sounds quite apt at present

Re: Financial Fair Play

Are we certain that Caraboa are being replaced as shirt sponsor this summer? They’re contract is up I thought, but still nothing mentioned about a) a renewal or b) a new sponsor. Either way I hope Nigel Howe has pushed for a much improved deal. He doesn’t have the best record in that field. In the P...

Re: Are we screwed?

A fee is supposedly agreed for Oliveira, and now Norwich are in the Prem I can see us trying to spread the payments further as they won’t be crying out for the money up front. But as we’re hearing, we need to sell first in order to buy. I’m fully expecting us to rely on youth next season, certainly ...

Aye? I thought this was approved already and work had started?

There’s a lot of houses that have been built in Green Park now so they’ll be happy with this.

Most definitely. Imagine we can get around £2.5m for Barrow. A bargain for anyone really. He’s wanted out for the past few windows so his exit seems highly likely.

Then on June 5, 2019:

“Compulsory strike-off action has been discontinued. This document is being processed and will be available in 5 days.”

Anyone who studies the accounts able to shed any light on this, and what exactly it means for the club and our fragile position currently?

Please move this if there’s a more suitable home for it. A bit worrying really. Our former holding company (Reading Asia Holdings Ltd) is in some trouble, to say the least, and will be struck off - and we still use them.
