Re: BFTG Sheffield Utd

Last night was my first trip to the MadStad since the Fulham semi last season. Observations: - It wasn't that cold, there was no wind so perfectly tolerable - Really easy to get a beer so did two at half time and didn't go back in until gone 60mins - Reading were utter dogshit - Generally felt quit...

Re: BFTG Bees

First half was dire. Half time to goal was decent enough. Goal to end of match was dire. First time I've seen Reading this season and wasn't too impressed. Desperately need a striker or to play Aluko further up the pitch - his nice work on the ball would be much more damaging in the final 25m of the...

Re: Do you have another team?

Reading are my team but I definitely don't care as much as I did a decade ago. I think you just get bored of it all after a while, particularly as you grow older and more cynical about these things. My family team is Leeds - I would say I used to "support" them but these days I don't do an...

Re: The Shame Your Block Thread

It's not immature to get frustrated by fans and supporters just sitting on their hands, especially on a big occasion Yes it is, it's pathetic. WTF does it have to do with you how other people behave? There are no bigger pcunts at football matches that self-appointed fan police who scream at strange...

Match Summary Reading: shit Huddersfield: shit Atmosphere: shit Danny Williams did not deserve to be on the losing side Swift should've been pulled long before he was and needs to do some serious conditioning work in the summer Zero width - was crying out for someone like McCleary Basically a heap ...

Re: The Shame Your Block Thread

Well in our stand, some of us had to stand as there was a conflict between a couple who were in the wrong block, and a pair of brothers (I'm going to assume this as they looked similar). Unfortunately, this occurred on the same row as where a wreath of commemorative flowers had been placed. Astonis...

windermereROYAL Is it normal for concession tickets to arrive with the ticket stubs missing?

They are missing *because* they're concession tickets.

Re: An analysis of promoted teams in the play-off era

No way I'm reading all that but the general thrust of it seems to make sense.

I reckon Reading will get bummed to death next season if they go up. Would have to buy half a dozen new first-teamers.

Re: The Forgotten

Kevin Lisbie - IIRC, joined on loan in the Pardew era then got injured and went back to Charlton. I'm struggling to remember all Tommy Burns magnificent 7 - what a deadline day that was. McIntyre Fleck Brayson Crawford Howie Gray I forget the last one. The good(ish) one - Grant Brebner. Scored firs...

Re: The Forgotten

This thread has descended into just listing people who have played for us. I mean, Robert Fleck scored in the first ever game at the MadStad. Sean Evers cost a small fortune and was so shit it still makes me shake with anger. Lee Hodges played tonnes of games and bagged a couple in that brilliant wi...

Re: Where does Jaap Stand ?

Stam's done incredibly well but can't be mentioned among names like Coppell, Pardew and McDermott yet. I'm not sure where to put Pardew - on the one hand I feel like he (along with the stadium move) began the upwards curve that RFC have been on since the 90s. He and Martin Allen really imbued both t...

Re: Play Off Final Tickets

£98 quid is a joke for some seats This wont sell out. Anyone remember the costs for the Swansea game? I still have my ticket for Swansea. i was in block 549 and it cost £76 exactly the same. I have a strong feeling (although it was 6 years ago and I have no evidence for it) that I paid £64 for the ...

Re: Trouble at the station after the game last night?

Say what you like about Reading and Fulham but they have had at least one proper row in the last few years.

Saw half a dozen Fulham fans kicking wing mirrors off cars in Hartland Road last night whilst shouting FUKK OFF READING. Really wanted to knock them all out but unfortunately I'm too weak.

Winston Biscuit Seen Cairney play 4 times now. very much in the meh folder for me.

Interesting, I think he's a really good player. Better that Aaron Mooy at Huddersfield IMHO, his counterpart in the team of the season.

Just got smothered out of our last two games by having a man on him most of the time.

Re: BFTG - Fulham

Agree with all that. Regardless of frame-by-frame breakdowns it really looked like a penalty in real time because of the arm movement.
