Re: CONFIRMED - Yakou Meite

Spin off thread - That guy played for us? The Adkins/Clarke era is good for that. Robert Dickie Jure Travner Zat Knight (didn't realised he'd joined us!) Sadly I remember those 3. I remembered Lisandro Semedo the other week. Did he ever play for us? No. Semedo plays every week for Fortuna Sittard. ...

Re: Next Reading Manager

Not really sure but I don't want to see another manager here who is described as a "great coach", used to work in the Prem or worked with some great managers as an assistant. Someone who can take a fresh approach without any past coaching glories!!

Re: BFT - I don’t know what to call it

I agree with what has been mostly said but I find the Gunter ratings ridiculous. I'm not his biggest fan at all but was one of our best players lastnight. Stop being so bloody bias and applying favouritism to your ratings and give an honest review for once.

Re: Clement

I'm getting a little sick and tired of fans blaming easy targets or players they don't like to be quite honest. Lack of passion and commitment wasn't the main problem and nor was it wide spread amongst the team. I see Kelly and Swift are getting blamed again and I can't see why. If a player is tryin...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Norwich City (h) sponsored by Andy Hughes

I'd argue the Iranian fella has been signed to get the best out of Kelly to be honest. Kelly isn't as bad as people make out and he's doing the jobs in midfield that he quite frankly is not his strongest asset. With a big, strong and athletic midfielder alongside him that can do all the dirty work ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Norwich City (h) sponsored by Andy Hughes

My team for Naarige: Walker ________ Yiadom Ilori Moore Blackett (if fit, if not Gunter) _________ Bacuna Kelly Sims _________ Swift ________ Barrow (if not breastfeeding) Baldock And, when our Iranian international is up to speed, I'd slide him in for Kelly.... assuming he is actually half decent....

Re: Gourlay

The bloke has to be on borrowed time. I have no issues with the owners and don’t think any fans should, we could have owners that pick the team etc but we don’t, they’ve invested (record signing, summer 2017, Moore situ where they could have cashed in) and let the football side get on with it. I wi...

Re: Rumour: Jaakkola to Rotherham

CountryRoyal Jaakola is the worst keeper to play for Reading in many a year, doesn’t have it what it takes and never will. Not comfortable with him even as a back up so this is positive news.

Jesus I came across all John Smithy there.

Worse than Simon Shephard and Van Der Kwakk?!

Re: Rumour: Jaakkola to Rotherham

If this is true we'll probably get Krul in. Clement doesn't trust academy players and you will see that as he loans more them out. I guarantee we will see Smith, Rinomhota, Richards, Axel, Loader, McIntyre and a couple others get farmed out soon.

I'd rather head to The City Ground and support Forest on Tuesday as their game against Barnsley will have a massive impact on our last 2 games.

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Nova has done incredibly well over there in a league that is split between League 1 and lower championship standard. In the games and highlights I've seen him play he has not onl scored some good goals but his all round play is excellent. He can hold up the ball, knows when to pass, makes some intel...

Re: The Life and Times of Ahmet Rifat

Boucad had a lot of disciplinary issues. Even before he was at Reading. The lad was plying his trade for Henley Town and owed them thousands in fines for red cards and breach of rules. He had massive attitude problems, didn't really take training seriously but there was no mistaking his talent. I sa...
