Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (h) sponsored by a plea from Terry Cooper

Few points from this game 1. Walker does not utilise his height from crosses, so poor today with crosses, good few saves though 2. Midfield still needs improving, they don't offer enough defensively 3. Barrow and Baldock both worked hard today but didn't really offer a lot in an attacking sense, fu...

Re: Royals on the Box/Internet Thread

Also, the video stream had BBC Berkshire commentary. Result if that keeps up for the whole season. Just need to start winning some games. That's an big improvement. Had to watch iFollow without commentary last season as it was impossible to sync the two tabs I'd have open for audio and video. Last ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Derby County (h) sponsored by a new hope

Thought Bod pressed well (he did it pretty well last season too) and was the one who forced mistakes from the Derby defence, but let himself down a bit on the ball. Swift would often play off Bod a la Alli and Kane for Spurs. Clement obviously intends to switch from 433 to 442 in game as he sees fit.

That was a very, very Coppell-esque goal!

Re: Rumour: Kemar Roofe for 7m

He's coming off a good season, transfer inflation probably means that players like him will go for north of £5m.

I quite like him, he'd offer something different to Bod.

Re: RUMOUR - David Meyler

Looks like he's managed about 25 apps a season for the last 5 years for Hull in the league He scores 1 in 11 on average and I believe he's the guy who was on the receiving end of Alan Pardew's head a few years ago. And just for the record he is 28 and an ROI international I thought he was perma-cro...

Good strike from Forestieri, but possibly fouled Blackett just prior.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield Wednesday (a) sponsored by c'mon URZ

Some decent possession around the Wednesday half, but as usual no penetration. Especially with Joey's hilarious diagonal ball attempts.

Still, Ipswich will be without Grant Ward 8)

Re: who do you want as the new manager

Not all this Coppell nonsense again. Can't we let the man enjoy his retirement? Our issue is the short term arse-kicker we need now will be from a small pool who aren't necessarily who we'd want in the medium-long term. I'd like to see what Pardew could do in the Championship. Parky isn't proven at ...

Re: The Project

TBF he doesn't really seem to have lost the dressing room- the players are just playing shite. If the board were ever going to sack Stam this season, he'd have been gone by now. I imagine they are working on the assumption, like most of us, that we won't get relegated as we'll pick up points here an...

Re: Rumour - Chris Martin

I have my reservations about this. Hope i’m proved wrong but why is nobody asking why he is out of favour at Derby? He doesn’t suit their play style, it’s literally the only reason derby fans are ok with him going. Was brilliant at Fulham before it all kicked off And he suits ours? I don’t think he...

Re: Rumour - Chris Martin

I have my reservations about this. Hope i’m proved wrong but why is nobody asking why he is out of favour at Derby? He was fantastic under McClaren, then Pearson came in and bought Vydra, so Martin went on loan to Fulham. When McClaren came back to Derby after Pearson's shambolic tenure, Martin wan...

Re: RUMOUR - Roy Beerens to Vitesse

Wish him well, easy to forget he was a crucial player for us last season.

Though I'm a bit wary about getting rid of Popa and Beerens- that leaves Barrow, Aluko and McCleary plus possibly Bacuna and Bod on the wings. Maybe a little light?

Re: Unfortunately ANOTHER In or Out poll

I'm with Ian. I was reluctantly pushed into the OUT camp by the Wednesday Cup loss. It looks like the board are backing him for now, but as far as I'm concerned he's playing for his job til the end of the season. There needs to be an improvement in the performances, and ideally pick up a few decent ...

Overall, delighted....loved Gunt’s celebration with Stam. Yep, right after scoring Gunter ran a long ways over to the sidelines...and it was quite a looong hug, too. Great to see.:) For all the insipid games we've had to endure, and the crap results, there was ne'er a hint that had Stam lost the dr...

Re: Rumour - Chris Martin

With Naismith in addition to Jerome now out of Norwich wouldnt be a surprise to see Martin returning there.. Would make sense, but you'd have thought they'd have done a swap deal in that case (Derby already having done a swap deal in the summer). I think Farke is a bit particular about his strikers.

Re: Rumour - Chris Martin

Had we signed him in the summer we'd have all been pleased- proven championship goalscorer in his prime years.

I really hope we get this over line as I'm a big fan.
