Re: BFI Follow Middlesborough

It would have been intriguing what would have happened if we had stayed with Gomez.Gomez wanted us to play like Barcelona, but he just didn’t acquire the players to play like Barcelona.Maybe that wasn’t his fault, maybe he wanted to play around Baker. But it was always pretty clear that Baker was not ...

BFI Follow Middlesborough

I am sorry, but we were dreadful again.Yeah I know our final league position will be so much better than previous seasons;but the team have to give us something.Under Bowen we are going absolutely nowhere.2nd half apart from an awkward effort by Morrison we created nothing. We played like a pub team,n...

Re: Player of the Season

Morrison for me. Not done much wrong all season, a consistent performer. I seem to remember Morrison being directly responsible for three or four goals against us pre Xmas.So I discount him.But I agree he has been excellent in 2020. I would go for Rafa.No real howlers, without quite being very good....

Player of the Season

Going to be bloody difficult this year, that’s if anybody can be bothered.Rino and Yids were shoe ins last year. While our league position is much improved over recent seasons,it’s been a very mediocre year;with few exceptions.

Re: Puscas

Actually, I think it's an interesting question to look at our 20 men and try to deduce what they had that got them there. Morley - expert penalty taker and winner, bags of experience. Good on crosses at a time when they were common. Caskey - freekick and penalty specialist Cureton - fox in the box,...

Oh and a bit of a cock up by Tim and Mick just after half time. But otherwise they were ok.Their excuse was they did not have great line of sight ;for deciding who had been subbed.

BFIFOLLOW Charlton

Sorry but those tactics half an hour out, were from a different age and right out of Mark Hughes playbook. At one point we had three LBs and three CHs on.OK with ten minutes to go,but half an hour to shut up shop was asking too much .Bowen will excuse that three points justify the means. We had a very ...

Re: BFI Follow Huddersfield

As Andrew posted, you know that the game wasn't up to much when posters go on more about the I-follow commentary (or on other occasions the ref) than the match itself. My mate Roger (rare poster called Tazewell Royal has always had a thing about scoring too many goals in one game and inevitably in ...

Re: Reading players out of contract in summer 2020

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/footballleaguefc.com/reading-fc-2019-20-player-wages/ I know this is to be taken with a pinch of salt but above is a link to the wages of our players put together from various sources. Interesting that if every player leaves that is out of contract out our weekly wage...

Re: BFI Follow Huddersfield

"Dim Teller excruciating commentary" I think you are being too kind. Has only one agenda which is his own inane opinion. Was cautioned several times last night for my language and 90% aimed at him. With the odd exception I have never previously listened to Dim commenting on a televised ma...

BFI Follow Huddersfield

Not quite normal service resumed, but close.Despite what Dim said,it wasn’t quite as bad as the Play Off final. At least we created three good chances in the first half and a couple in the second.Huddersfield started the better;but really only had long, horribly placed punts. We then created our opportu...

Re: Back from I Follow Luton

Mc Intire was terrific today.Any doubt and he just pumped the ball away. That meant that we were never caught on the ball in the final third. That said what would Stam or Gomez have made of this ?

Re: Back from I Follow Luton

Bizarre game really.Luton hit the bar, have a good shout for a pen and then we ram in five in response.I just have this feeling that Luton were unbelievably bad defensively;however we fully exploited how bad they were. You only play what’s in front of you. IMHO Rafael 7 Not really tested. Osho 6 Very...

Re: The next 5 games - a key point in our season

Have Berkshire Live taken down their season predictor,if so why.Went through it a few weeks ago and we came in at 14th,which is respectable.Since the re start we have fallen off a cliff, and 14th looks very unlikely now.

Swift Offer

If it’s true offers have been received for Swift of £3.5 mill. This is bloody insulting and Howe should tell them to treble their offer or bugger off.Why however anyone would think he could play in the Prem escapes me.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (a) sponsored by Sean Evers

Actually looking forward to this.No idea how we will perform ,and I bet Bowen doesn’t know either. We do have the better players;strikers apart.Yet we don’t seem to have the heart for it,or a clear idea of how to defend or score goals. The s**t will hit the fan big time if we are well beaten, and I can...

Re: The next 5 games - a key point in our season

We desperately need a reaction from the players against Luton. What happens if they put in another insipid performance like Tuesday night ?We started the season with a reasonable level of investment, and now it has come to this.I still think we can stay up without winning another game;surely they are ...
