Re: New manager rumours and speculation

My god twitter is unbearable at the moment, I`m surprised there aren`t mass suicides in the region. it`s June the fu c king 8th for goodness sake. But given the club is a fecking shambles the sooner someone comes in the better. It’s a short turn around this season with the World Cup. 3 weeks to pre...

Re: About the Third Tier

Royal_jimmy I watched them play at Brunton Park in 2016. Remember not getting back until about midnight as my train to Euston ended up being an hour late

That was not against Reading We last played them in 83 in fact we have only played them 10 times in our history!

Re: About the Third Tier

I maybe the only one here who traveled to Carlisle the last we played them! A midweek game on the old Smith’s coaches. A 12 hour round trip arrived back in Reading around 4am and went to college that day. Needless to say I won’t be going this season.

Interesting seeing the record transfer fees paid. Cambridge £50,000 majority under a million.

Re: Is it time to bring back Ashes by Embrace?

Having accounted for a fair amount of fuzz in the stats, and excluded a lot of irrelevant factors, I have been forced to conclude that the club started falling off the cliff when we stopped playing "Ashes" by Embrace at home games. . You're wrong, our demise started when they started play...

Re: Rival Watch

Be interesting to see what happens to Coventry when Liam Moore launched that penalty into orbit we never really recovered. Been down hill ever since culminating in relegation. They do have a good manager but will lose there striker and a few others.

Re: Is it time to bring back Ashes by Embrace?

It’s played on the phone line when your waiting to speak to someone in the ticket office. The idea of a song is to get the crowd involved like Silver Lining, YNWA, Blue Moon even Brighton play Good old Sussex by the sea. We have never had one nothing wrong with Sweet Caroline it’s just that you hear...

Re: Reading FC Womens World

Whilst I make no apologies for my earlier rant. I of course realise that Reading cannot compete financially with the big 4 especially in the WSL. However both Brighton and Leicester who up until Christmas were below Reading and suffered some horrific thrashing’s. Both clubs changed managers and impr...

Re: The dedicated Chris Wilder thread

Sean Evers on my god just seeing his name has bought back nightmares. £500,000 back then was a lot for a third tier player and still is. We got Sidwell and Harper for less than that. Every week you went thinking this is the week he starts to come good and he never did in fact he got worse. He left a...

Re: Reading FC Womens World

Some of those Spurs goals would not look out of place on a kids playground. So much for all the crap on the OS. It’s our cup final, we are all in this together, we will fight to the end. I had enough of that bollocks with the mens team. I would rather they say we are shit and have no chance of stayi...

Re: Moving away fans to Upper West Corner

So when we went to QPR and they charge us £35 to sit on those crumby seats. The home fans pay the same at the other end? How the hell can they justify that? To watch Championship football.

Re: Season Tickets 23/24

When you have players on 10-20 grand a week can’t see what £50 on our season ticket is going to make? As for the club video” I was there “nearly everything on it was at least 10 years ago. I will renew mine out of loyalty, but I would not blame anyone for not renewing given the utter tripe we have h...

Re: New manager rumours and speculation

blythspartan I have seen it mentioned that we’re looking at Luke Williams the Notts County manager. Obviously, pure speculation but a managerial appointment of this nature wouldn’t surprise me. Also, he might be able to persuade Langstaff to come here.

Yes have heard the club have asked to speak to him.

Don Goodman also said Wolves were the best side ever to be promoted from the Championship? Forget to mention they had a 40 million pound budget and players who had played in the Champions League. And still failed to get a 100 points.

Who the hell is the bloke in the interview. Favourite player Dennis Berkamp, favourite Reading game Reading 5-Arsenal 7. For me the most humiliating game. Safe to say we know what club he supports.

Re: 2023/24 - Important dates for your diary

Yeah I'd suspect there would be a few clubs who would take a good following to us. I'm not sure I could see an average of over 1000 going to away games next season if we are to be sitting in mid table in League One. At the moment, I can see 8 teams (Wycombe, Oxford, Cheltenham, Bristol Rovers, Nort...
