Re: BFTG - Rov'rum

The second goal was also a great ball across the goal from Gunter and clinically finished by Swift. I should have added that the pass from Williams that set up Gunter was a brilliant defence-splitting ball!! Idential to the pass in the first half from mccleary to gunter who put a carbon copy ball a...

Re: BFTG - Rov'rum

Playing two different front 4's in the past three days made a lot of sense. Playing Williams in the "quarterback "role made no sense but credit to Stam for changing it at half time. Having Kelly moving the ball quickly and having Williams and McCleary playing higher up the pitch changed t...

Re: BFTG - Villa (A)

(if he recovers - was off his feet when he went off  ) Just proves how fit Kermogant is - he does that work, for 90 minutes, week in, week out at the age of 36. Love Kermie but pleased to see another option coming through. Kermie would not have scored his second though - just wouldn't have had...

Re: BFTG - Brentford

We can thank Villa for that win, if Hogan was still at Brentford they would have scored about 6. But he's not, and they didn't. Christ guys we won, enjoy the victory  Also, some of comments criticising the manager - his triple substitution won us the game . I know tell me about. They'd moan if...

Re: BFTG - Fulham Home

Also Gunter is the best right back in the championship Pereira (Forest) Fredericks (Fulham) Iorfa (Wolves) De Laet (Villa) Bacuna (Villa) Yedlin (Newcastle) Jesus Gamez (Newcastle) Hunt (Wednesday) Christie (Derby) When fit you don't think any of these are better than him? I don't know I'm even hum...

Re: BFTG - Fulham Home

Obvious sub for Blackett last night would have been for Gunter to swap sides, and Watson to come on, rather than playing Ilori out of position Obvious.. :? I think he does trust Watson, he's not been involved much in previous systems but has come in and been the obvious 2nd choice fullback. Every t...

Re: BFTG - United (A)

McLeary has one quiet game and suddenly he's accused of bottling it and running down his contract. Amazing considering how committed he's been this season. Can't judge a player just on the TV games you know..... I thought he played really well considering the amount of defending he had to do and th...

Re: BFTG - Bristol City (A)

Tongue in cheek WR. Interesting viewpoint though, thought Beerens did much better in the latter stages of the game and I'm guessing Stam didn't share your view. Just as well hes the manager and not you eh. T&C my arse, why would someone say that about their own player and claim it was T&C, ...

Re: BFTG - Bristol City (A)

I've literally just seen the highlights and instantly knew I'd be pulled up on this. Whatever he was still gash I hate him . And there muirinho is the real reason behind his 5 rating despite the assist, that's why you should take ratings with a pinch of salt. I went and IMO Beerens was lucky not to...

Re: BFTG - Bristol City (A)

Gunter 5 - Showed willingness but was very poor going forward. Really? Assist on the first, key pass for the second.... Re: BFTG - Bristol City (A)

Before today I had never: 1. Hugged a random stranger. 2. Been thrown down the stairs by a bundle of people (well, not since Elm Park) 3. Had to explain to my son that the word that rhymes with Hunt is not to be repeated. :D Brilliant. Liam Kelly is the new love in my life. Great post. New contract...

Re: Player of the Season - At the halfway point

Moore has been immaculate but right now mccleary for me. As well as delivering and contributing greatly he gets the supporters off their chairs and that's what it's all about.

Re: BFTG - Burton

Boring False position Standard of the division is awful (as said in 15/16, 14/15, 13/14 etc) Bristol City are amazing and will bring us down to earth Al Habsi is a liability No atmosphere in the ground This position last year and look what happened Division does not settle down till Xmas (from the ...

Re: BFTG - Burton

Thought the atmosphere was decent considering the game. The atmosphere is solely dependant on success plus away following. That will never change. Some decent teams are yet to visit. It's a new breed of football and one I am enjoying watching before my eyes. I just find it incredible that we are 3r...

Re: Contracts

Royalwaster Hope we keep GMac but doubt he's good enough for the Prem .... if he leaves it will be to another Champ team.

Disagree, he and swift are the two players who have the ability to play in the prem. There are quite a few in the prem who are no better

Re: BFTG Barnsley

I didn't go so I can't add too much to the thread, but my Dad went, and he spoke to GMac in the car park after the game and asked him about the incident. GMac said the Barnsley lad was hurling all sorts of obscenities at Williams whilst he was on the floor calling him a c**t amongst others, and GMa...

Re: BFTG Barnsley

It's better to have players sent off fighting for each other than against each other (Williams/McShane) Out of character so like mentioned above I doubt it will ever happen again. I agree with your post and I bet there was far less who wanted either of those heads on a stick like they do mcclearys....

Lower West Samuel, Mendes, Meite as well.

Can't see those 3 getting 5 goals between them

I got a feeling one of them will be shoving them words back down your throat twice over.

LWJ
TBM - but i feel we missed Swift.

Swift spent the game with Callum Chambers. Future GMac and Gunter?
