Re: January Transfer Window

SPARTA
Barry the bird boggler Pogrebnyak to Sunderland perhaps...

I'd take that with Wickham coming the other way.

So would I but would Pog or Pog's wife leave London for life in Sunderland?

Re: Boro Match Thread

Yeah, what resources? A former Real Madrid player and an ex-England international can't say he's been given good players. Thought he'd made progress at the start of that interview when he said "just wasn't good enough" that was until he then started reeling off reasons why we were "u...

Re: Boro Match Thread

Listening to the Dellor/NA interview and there's nothing new, the Reading way speak of buying time with talk of January and making changes and getting players in who can play his way. However, first time I've heard NA say "we're not doing it". I hate to say Nigel but we haven't been doing ...

Re: Boro Match Thread

Setting aside the bigger picture (investment, Anton, etc.), Adkins cannot be exempted of blame here. First of all, he has stated that he believes he has enough cover at left back and centre back, so the lack of like-for-like back up is his responsibility. Secondly, he should provide effect tactics,...

Re: Boro Match Thread

More in hope than anything else but I really hope the board back Adkins in Jan & allow him to build a squad that can compete for next season. Anything can happen but surely we have no hope of play-offs with the current squad? It makes absolute sense for them to write this season off & give ...

Re: Boro Match Thread

Our real problem is lack of any movement, let alone imaginative/creative movement, off the ball. Nowhere is this more obvious than at throw ins, freekicks and corners. But they're superb in training according to NA so I'm guessing the players are all playing the way they've been coached. ...

Re: Boro Match Thread

Same old totally uninspiring crap. Does the plank we have for a manager deliberately coach our players to avoid creating chances in case it makes our possession stats look poor - or is it just that we have players that just aren't up to this level of football? No just players that can't stand him a...

Re: Boro Match Thread

Regardless of injuries, ongoing ownership issues and club politics it's simple... The team/players just don't respond to this manager and will more than likely get him sacked!

Re: The Adkins Sack/Resignation Countdown Thread

With talk of new investment from Oman I doubt if Adkins is fearful of loosing his job just yet, we need to show stability even over results. It's a waiting game for now.

Re: Leicester Match Thread - Sponsored by Coppell's coat

Dear god do people prefer the dross that is being served up on my telly at this moment?, the ball is hardly on the floor More to life than watching football, my friend. My concern is not the football currently being played, I've been through many years of iffy RFC teams and performances. I'm concer...

Re: Leicester Match Thread - Sponsored by Coppell's coat

Cheers Adkins. Your effect has been massive. You have managed to make a fan of 50 years to not to want to watch anymore. Boring team, awful tactics, no excitement and turned a team which were favourites to get automatic promotion into mid table has beens. Really impressive. When the commentators be...

Re: Injury table and expected return....

Jason Roberts has been dining out on a decent half a season with this club and credit where credit's due he was excellent for us way back in the day but he's been swinging the lead ever since. He hardly kicked a ball for us in the promotion season, the season he took up his extension option and then...
