Re: Rival Watch

Swindon lose in the L2 play-off semi-final Lulz Would rather our rivals were successful tbh, would be nice to have a rival in the same league as us. Makes it a bit more interesting. With you here Nath, would love to have the whole "Thames Valley Triangle" going on in the Chump!! Oxford ha...

Re: George Puscas leaving?

Maybe we can offer Swift around $18,000 (Sorry Canadian Keyboard) with some sort of bonuses built in such as goals, assists etc...really not sure how this works and offer him a two year contract so if things don't work out he's still good and young enough to move on when his contract expires, maybe ...

Re: Rumour - The return of Mark Bowen (and Eddie Niedzwiecki?)

Would be super happy with this. Bowen will make a very good DoF and lets face it he already knows the club and a lot of the staff and players inside out. What happened in the past is in the past, its now about what's best for Reading FC and this move would make sense and looks very much like Ince is...

Re: Do you want Ince to stay?

I've just commented on another thread, we will always be indebted to Paul Ince for keeping us up under tough circumstances but these last three games have took the shine off of those games against Sheff Utd & Swansea. The last three games has been terrible to say the least and the players litera...

Re: Next Reading Manager

Well that's it, season over and done with!! Things now get interesting....next week should see a lot happening, starting with Paul Ince and then finding out who's leaving and who's staying. I like Paul Ince, and i'm sure the fans will always be indebted for keeping us in the Championship under tough...

Re: George Puscas leaving?

Pisa will definitely be in the promotion play-offs but can still go up automatically, the last games are in Serie B are tomorrow, they have to beat Frosinone away while hoping Monza lose away to Perugia and Cremonese fail to beat Como. H2H record is the first tie-breaker in Serie B of which Pisa wo...

Born in Reading... Now that may well change things a bit....not sure what ties he has family wise in Reading but who doesn't want a chance to play at their hometown club? unless that club's Reading of course :D The furthest North he's been team wise is with Wolves, so a move up North looks slim, so...

I'm pretty sure we have to be careful to not play too many youngsters. Isn’t there a rule in place about making too many team changes in high stake games? Something to do with the integrity of the league. Howdy Nath, I think your correct regarding putting out a weakened team and the integrity thing...

Tony Mowbray leaving Blackburn at the end of the season also!! Along with Warburton at QPR, looking like a serious manger merry-go-round about to begin. Interestingly those 3 home grown hero’s you mentioned (only 1 of whom was really home grown) all up and left as soon as they got big money offers from elsewhere ! Ok, my bad regarding them being homegrown lol. However, i have no problem with players wanting to up and leave as long as the club (Read...

Re: MATCHWATCH : West Bromwich Albion (h)

With a well run academy producing promising home grown players, we shouldn't need greedy agents like Kia Whats-his-face offering us has been mercenary's who don't give a rats arse about the club as long as they get a big fat pay check!!! Interestingly those 3 home grown hero’s you mentioned (only 1...

Re: MATCHWATCH : West Bromwich Albion (h)

By all accounts the U-23s played really well against Fulham and Noel Hunt was super complimentary about them which bodes well for the future and i really think 3 or 4 of this team will need to step up and be counted next season. Our academy is the future of the club, if we can get a few of the Olise...

Re: MATCHWATCH : West Bromwich Albion (h)

WBA are pretty poor at the moment, and with us now being safe and guaranteed 21st spot i would be inclined to give a few of the senior pro's a rest and let a few of the fringe players showcase their talent for next season. Would like to see Barker, Azeez, Camara and Abrefa given a run out and maybe ...

Re: Can we find 3 teams worse than us next season?

We’ve been extremely unlucky with injuries this season, and it’s reasonable to expect that we will be less unlucky next season. The same could be said for form. That said, as it stands out squad will probably look something like… Southwood (Nyland?) Yiadom Dann, McIntyre, Holmes (Thomas?) (Nobody) ...
