Re: World Cup Play-Offs

You are a bit thick mate. Even if it was an error in replying to me, I have clearly stated and defended Ireland on the thread on AE. Calls for replays, bans and sponsorship cancellations are laughable, cringe worthy in fact. Incidents like this happen day in day out in football. Renault lost their ...

Re: World Cup Play-Offs

Banning him for a period when he won;t have any proper games would be a real harsh punishment ! And if they stripped everyone who handled the ball or infringed the rules of all their promotional earnings we'd never have a player appear in an advert again. Does Robbie Keane do any endorsements ? Not...

Re: World Cup Play-Offs

Henry should be given a ban from international matches until the end of the World Cup that he felt the need to cheat to get to. Although he probably won't miss it, I would like to think that Gillette will sack him from his promotional activities for them as well. See how he likes it when his bank b...

Re: Does this forum affect team morale/selection etc.?

Sitting next to Cisse at Didcot who was translating into French everything the other players said to him was my first clue. He was paraded in the corporate entertaining lounge before the Sheff U game when I was there. The host asked him something or other and all he managed to say in reply was &quo...

Re: How many countries have you seen footie in?

England
Scotland (Ibrox,Nairn,Elgin and Hampden)
Spain (Real Madrid 5 Santander 0) When Owen and Beckham played for them
Wales (Millenium)
France (Lyon)

The Hampden game was particularly fun when the fans sang stand up if you hate the English.

Re: The Official Rodger's Soundbite Thread

Hugo Boss LOL @ People getting wound up by things the Manager says.

Quoting what he says about an awful talent(less) show is more about making fun of him and the people (including myself) who judge him on interviews than being upset about it.

Re: James Henry - LOL

It is well known in Ireland that the manager doesn't go to club matches very often as is proved by the fact the in form Andy Reid is continually overlooked for reasons that are seemingly personal rather than footballing. The fact that he also picked Long over N Hunt last season while the former was ...

Re: The Official Rodger's Soundbite Thread

Our Esteemed leader talks X factor and manages to drop a few soundbites in. Rodgers said: “I like his new haircut, I might need to get my head shaved now. Danyl performed fantastically on Saturday and I think he is a great role model for the kids. “He is a big, big talent and although he has faced ...

Dont even like long that much. No idea why im defending him. But henry is currently bit part in league 1. And ill take trappatonis view over anyones on here, including my own! That would be the same Trapattoni who is constantly criticised in Ireland for not going to enough club games. He hardly has ...

When I said "end of thread", I seriously didn't think that this could still be going. I just can't see how he merits a place in a CCC team. Oh well then he may as well pack it in now then. Best he retire's now that some faceless bloke on an internet forum with no experience in professiona...

Re: James Henry - LOL

I did see an interview a couple of weeks ago where Henry said he was enjoying his time at Millwall and said it was "nice to have a manager who trusts me". I'm sure most of the people who dislike him will use this to say that he is arrogant and a trouble maker but I think think he has a fai...

Was he still running away from the ball like he did against Barnsley in the cup, or did he remember to take it with him this time?
