Re: Football League Play Off's Thread..

Never mind there is still time for the brave 10 men to run out of legs in extra time.

Re: Football League Play Off's Thread..

Fair play to the older geezer in the black coat for getting involved and helping the kid out. The copper didn't fancy it as much unless he's up against a weedy looking 16 yr old who's had a couple of beers.

Re: Football League Play Off's Thread..

Been really impressed by Mooney so far. Can't for the life of me understand why we haven't seen more of him on the evidence of tonight. Of course the evidence I haven't seen may explain why he has become the John Halls of the strikers. Might be that dreaded word consistency which makes the differen...

Max Clolifford getting his grubby money as well out of it.

As soon as something like this emerges, there he is lurking in the bushes like Andy Bernal, ready to help someone "put their side of the story across" in exchange for a big wad of cash.

Re: The FA Cup Final Thread

Chelsea's latest title triumph means that they are now officially bigger than Huddersield Town, who have only won the title three times. Great days.

Not meaning to piss on our chips an all but I noticed one of the last comments on that link was someone mentioning that he was at Leeds' promotion party. He might just have a mate who plays for them but I could easily see Leeds being his destination really, not far from Scunnie etc.

Re: Well done Chelsea

they are a bunch of graceless primadonnas Exactly, which for once is why im really struggling to get behind our national team this summer. Have we ever had a group of such Uber Cnters turning out for England? Agreed. That is why it was so good to watch the last Euros without all the "this is t...

Re: Rumour: Lee Wallace

I love it when people who know nothing about the SPL chime in with " wouldn't cost anywhere near that". Yes, he would. Hearts would laugh at 1.5 million and on the off chance that we do have a bigger accepted, he would laugh at joining Reading ( like scott brown did when we were in a stro...

I read it as a bit of both. Happy to stay at Reading if his agent's pimping efforts while his star is in its ascendancy do not lead to a move to the English Premier League or the French First Division. So, wait and see what the next 6-8 weeks bring, see if my agent comes up with anything, if not I'm...

Didn't know you were from this part of the world Waxers. Late 80s would have been after the move to Llanelian Road from Eirias Park but before the exile years in England? I've lived here since 98. Just really trying to put in to persepctive how far down in to non-league football Chester will be goin...

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

I'm particularly pleased Colwyn Bay escaped Unibond Div 1 via the play-offs now!! Chester should go through Div 1 fairly easily as FCUM have, although re-formed Halifax have taken two seasons before going up in style (100 points) this season. Realistically means that any other club in Div 1 is left ...

Gotta love the comments about McGeady getting McCullolch sent off. The same McCullolch who could have been knocked over by a feather duster in at best a handbags bit of pushing with O'Dea. What goes around comes around. Other than Davis (for large parts of the match at least) thought Rangers looked ...

Re: Despite the shocking start...

Best in terms of final ranking over the 92 league clubs. Just shows how our fortunes have changed with the new stadium, surely not a coincidence. Maybe on the back of our fifth best ever supported season we should be looking to increase the capacity of the stadium so we are better prepared for when ...

Re: Back from the game - Preston

I said to my bruv that from Bryn's cameo perfomance I am convinced he is offski this summer. He seemed to be shooting on sight and determined to score yesterday, his appearance had a real smack of wanting to go out with a home goal. I reckon he is off to Bristol City on a 2 year deal. I hope I'm wri...

Went in the newsagent and bought the whole box of stickers from the counter. Schoolboy fantasy 8) Genius. Why didn't he just do what any poor schoolboy would have done and got this mate to distract him while he bundles the whole box in to his school bag. Then he wouldn't have to wait until he was 3...

Re: Michail Antonio given new Reading FC deal

Barry the bird boggler We've taken up an option in his existing contract to extend his deal by 1 year, the cynic in me says we've done this to ensure Southampton have to pay something to sign the player.

Exactly! Thank you!

Re: Michail Antonio given new Reading FC deal

I thought the contract was an option RFC could chose to take up, which presumably he agreed to when we signed him in late 2008. My guess is that he would be a free agent this summer otherwise and we'd get bugger for him.
