Re: Reasons to be hopeful?

I think the beauty of the Championship is that any team has a chance every season. Granted that the relegated sides have strong squads and parachute payments but I think its widely accepted Burnley won't have a lot to spend and will lose a lot of players. No one would have predicted Luton to finish ...

Re: Freebies

A few decent, experienced players on that list who wouldn't harm us, I just don't think many of them are up-and-comers who would look to take us forward. Tommy Smith, Tom Ince, Korey Smith, James Chester and Neil Taylor wouldn't be bad from the list. All would definitely be worthy acquisitions, alo...

Re: Liam moore

NathStPaul I want Moore to leave so that we can hear about exactly what went on at the club, there is way more to it than meets the eye. That statement the club released about him needs some scrutiny.

Yes, this. Unless he thinks he's big enough a name to release a book post-retirement

Come on Huddersfield! Please stop the Sky/apparent national love-in with Forest who deserve to be back where they belong despite having been nowhere near the Prem in nearly 30 years!

SCIAG All I ask is that we have a solid panel on the back so it's possible to read the shirt numbers.

Every year people moan about not having hoops all the way round and then the season they do, people are still unhappy. Just no pleasing some is there

PATRIQT I'll be rooting for Forest. Decent club, cracking ground, and decent support and wonderful history.

Pepe the Horseman Service in C1871 was absolutely shocking. Started queuing for a beer 5 mins before HT and didn't get served until second half had kicked off.

Well I never thought this would be the case but I am 100% rooting for Bournemouth tonight. Can't stand Forest: over-entitled supporters that everyone seems to agree "deserve" to be in the Prem.

They haven't been there since 1997 when Big Ron took them down!

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Anyone know why I might not be able to buy a ticket for West Brom in C1871? I'm a member, I had a ST there in 2019. But whenever I select 1 ticket it says I'm over the limit for my account. No such problem for the East stand. I've emailed the club and will try to call them tomorrow, but you lot are...

scoring a corker at Boundary Park in the 94/95 season? Speaking of corkers at Boundary Park - I can't seem to find any footage of Curo's curler on a wet Tuesday up there. As memory serves it starts about 5 yards outside the post and comes back in, a la Roberto Carlos vs France in le Tournoi he shou...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

They don't work like that. They absolutely insist on minimum production runs. A smaller run might be "possible" - the manufacturers just won't do it as they don't think it's cost effective for them. There's limited manufacturing capacity and plenty of other clubs around the world using th...

Re: Ups & Downs 2021/22

Fleetwood v Wimbledon this coming Saturday.

Utterly monumental game. The hosts had a similar 6-pointer on Bank Holiday Monday at Gillingham but played out a cagey goalless draw. I think this is one they will have to go out on the front foot, likewise for Wimbledon.

South Coast Royal
Has had a poor season interrupted by injuries and IMHO he has gone backwards, losing the drive and tough-tackling that epitomised his earlier years.
Not sure there will be many clubs calling.

Re: Kabongo Tshimanga

I'm just conscious we don't fall into another McNulty trap here. There is definitely talent available in the lower leagues, I've always been a fan of Scott Twine and Ryan Hardie, but can't imagine we'd be able to spend enough to pick either of those up. 100% Tshimanga is nowhere near the level of t...
