CountryRoyal Scores within 5 minutes of St. Ettienne's opening Europa league group match.

Its almost half time and he hasn't been sent off yet.

Did he get a hat trick?

He'll probably get more goals in the next 3 games then Sa will :D

Re: HRK / Gunter / Wales

I agree HRK has looked better so far this season. The talent is clearly there... just seems the application isn't always what it should be.

Re: RUMOUR - Michael Hector to Palace

£4m is a reasonable figure for a defender who really isn't that proven. He may come good and develop into a class player, but he sure as heck isn't yet; and at the age of 23 - I think it's a big risk on Chelsea's part.

Re: Should we be signing a new goalkeeper

Forbury Lion If we're talking goalkeepers we have to talk goalkeeping coach as well.

Agreed. A young and inexperienced goalkeeper, as well as one known for making the odd howler, coached by Beasant? I don't think the mistakes will stop anytime soon.

Re: How many more?

I'd say a short term deal for a winger (and maybe striker) is required... Given Clarke's insistence on playing wingers, without actual wingers.

Re: Reasons I'm worried about next season.

Difficult to judge Clarke too harshly, he did pick up a disjointed squad low on morale... although there are some worrying signs.

If the trend continues post summer assuming he has been able to bring some of his own players in etc. it'll be a different story.

Re: Steve Clake - New Poll

Feels to me like the only support Clarke gets is from those who hated Adkins and want their opinion vindicated. I wasn't happy with Adkins but Clarke been worse. Without the FA cup semi final there would be nothing really to hide behind. In my opinion we either have to face facts and admit Clarke i...

Extended-Phenotype A fluffed shot on goal is as expensive as a gk mistake.

Chin up Feds, it wasn't just you.

Are the opposition team awarded a goal post fluffed shot then?

Re: Jamie Mackie

I would say if the price is right, definitely.

100% commitment, eye for goal, versatile - shame about the injuries, but judging by the way he interacts with the other players and the manager, seems to be well liked.

Re: Nigel Adkin's post game interview /Derby

This isn't the first time NA has said we weren't good enough, and defensively we need to work harder (in training etc). Question is why is that still the case? If our defenders are that bad, select a more solid formation to keep dangerous opposition out. Seems pretty basic to me, but hey, I don't h...

Re: Adkins popularity?

He's neither here nor there, average manager who I do think was slightly overrated when we acquired his services. I did admire the fact he knuckled down in the face of a pretty dire situation last year, changed tactics etc, didn't really moan about it and also enjoyed his kind of frank discussion wi...

Re: Team for Charlton (A)

McCarthy Gunter Hector Pearce Obita Akpan McCleary Guthrie Williams Drenthe Pogrebnyak I'd have Akpan sitting deep in a three man midfield, or pushing one of Guthrie / Williams forward. Guthrie IMO is much better using his passing range going forward, and was playing well more advanced at the start ...

Re: Le Fondre - Come and get me plea

I really can't understand some of the views on here, like he doesn't contribute enough in his all round game, not good enough for a for a starting place etc. Just looking at the stats I don't think Reading have lost when ALF has started this year in the league (and have more ppg and gpg), and from m...

Re: Player of the Season - Vote Tabb

Has to be ALF. Some of his finishes this season have been of the highest order. When he starts he spends most of opening 70 mins feeding off scraps and chasing lost causes so no surprise he doesn't have as much impact. As for runners up? No one else has really shown anything of substance. If you're ...

No problem with this what so ever, Brian wanted to play and couldn't get the opportunity here. But please, we need a centre mid option brought in as cover... I hear JonJo Shelvey is up for loan?!!!
