Re: Club must save £4 million

Which is fine if the chance of recouping the monies owed is not that great a risk! The regulation of money pumped into an already failing club (financially) needs more transparency. But we can't possibly be a financially failing club. We are much too well run for that. The likes of Howe have spent ...

Re: Parachute payments - unfair or necessary?

I don't think it really matters whether it's over 2 years or over 4 years, it's still unfair. Of course it matters !! It's not really any more unfair than expecting teams from the Championship to get promoted and then compete in any way in the Prem. They simply can;t do it without a massive increas...

Re: Parachute payments - unfair or necessary?

Out of the three coming down, In reality only Burnley will have any control over their two parachute payments. Pompey will use theirs to help pay football-related debts and Hull have already announced they have effectively borrowed against theirs. For all the spin and hype that comes out of the PL C...

Re: Oxford United

We have to be up there in the choking stakes. 2 play off final defeats after being ahead, 2 play off semi final defeats one of which when we were ahead, FA Cup v Villa this season, missing out on automatic promotion last season, getting relegated from the prem, and so on and on... I wouldn't really...

Re: Blatter's taken his loopy juice again!

As Blatter clearly wants football to be "entertaining" - at all costs - may I suggest that he has missed a trick here? Rather than some minor tinkering of the rules, such as abolishing offside, he should really think out of the box and do things that would encourage more viewers on the te...

Fed Griffin Bertrand Khizanishvili Mills McAnuff Howard (c) Karacan Sigurdsson Rasiak Thorvaldsson Hamer, Cisse, Tabb, Church, Kebe, Long, Pearce Funny thing is Ian, I look at that side and think to myself that it should be capable of beating 60% of teams in this league without too much hassle. Yet...

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

What affect will the Palace administration have on the winding up order they face today? It means there is an automatic 10 month stay of execution on the winding up order. portsmouths next step then to prolong their existance :?: although not until theyre all but certain of relegation But their win...

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

Doing the draw again making sure that we draw Pompey?? Putting their fourth roubnd opponents through? Doing the draw again would be fun!! Rather draw Saints though and rekindle our love affair with AP and Murts than get a bye! Not sure the second option is viable either as their previous opponents ...

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

Hampshire Royal I don't know when Pompey's Insolvency hearing is, but if it was before their cup game with Saints and they were made insolvent and had to close down, would Saints get a bye into the next round?

I would have thought so. What other option is there?

Re: Plymouth (A) Match Thread Sponsored by AVIVA

Nicky Hammond is such a twat. "the likelihood of any players coming in January are highly unlikely, outgoings more likely." Pathetic. The only effing outgoing (apart from a thousand or so more fans) should be Hapless Hammond! Sounds like they're already planning the cloth cutting for Leag...

Row Z Royal Did he say anything about the skip-load of junk outside his house? What an eyesore!

That's not a skip. He's looking after his brother's caravan while he's away oop north.
