Re: Ex Players

Interesting nugget from Lita at Blue Collar last night. Applied for an U23 coaching role and all he got back was an automated response. Says it all about what this club has become. Ex players don't have a right to walk into these roles, but you'd certainly expect the club to treat any application wi...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

Certainly going to have a few of those now! However his latest report is... So perhaps there is something rumbling just with the names changed to protect the innocent. :? So the guy who has been done up like a kipper still trusts the person who did him up like a kipper? What changes? How do they sh...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Smith has always seemed to be a decent guy. He may have gotten it wrong, but not sure he deserves quite the vitriol he's getting. Then again I suppose that's the Internet for you. It's the nature of social media, especially with football. He should have done his due diligence better. This guy was f...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

In all seriousness, could this be a sinister attempt to flush out the whistle-blower? Tell staff different stories and see what gets out into the press? Colleen Rooney style.

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

MouldyRoyal TBF that isn't quite doubling down

His message definitely implies that something is close after his last story was debunked. Put it this way, if nobody else reports anything this week then he's managed to embarass himself even more which would be some feat.

Re: Potential New Owners

Royal_jimmy It's nuts to think that in 40 years we've only had 1 decent owner. Surely we're due another good owner

Tbf his tenure was 20 years. And you're being harsh on Smee who literally saved the club.

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Smudger doubling down  Just to clarify this came from a #readingfc staff member. Changes are already taking place behind the scenes, so things are clearly progressing. Not Ben Francis as believed, at least we have clarity. Not sure how you can get it so wrong; a guy not remotely interested appa...

Time for Anthony Smith to retire. Got some big calls wrong. His source is humiliating him.

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Pretty sure Smudger broke the news on the points deductions, unpaid HMRC and a few other bits, so he's obviously still got contacts. Has also got a couple of things wrong recently though. Stuck his neck out on this one, so you'd think he's pretty confident, let's hope it's true. His track record fo...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (a)

4 points adrift. Obviously the points deduction in significant, but that dire run of 1 point from 8 between Bolton and Wycombe is looking fatal for our season. Even averaging 1 point per game and we'd be going through this off field crisis from relative safety.

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

It's a shame it's taken this for Dai to start using the Academy in the way it's supposed to be used. If he was a sensible owner, the Academy would have been paying its way several times over the last few years, and the club would be on a much better footing right now. Had he been a sensible owner m...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (a)

Not sure how different today's performance was to recent performances with better results. We don't have a clear style or identity to create chances; we've just had individuals producing moments of quality and today they didn't. Wigan weren't any better but they did. Not saying our recent run was a ...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

If....as it looks like it will be now, short of a miracle sale and manager replacement.....we get relegated. Can we actually afford to be in League 2 renting a big stadium off Dai with bugger all attendance if he sells the club name only whilst retaining the club assets....which clearly I think he ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (a)

Wonder if the break since Exeter, Port Vale abandonment and off pitch issues is partly to blame. Our key players look flat and just haven't produced. Perhaps some rustiness.

Snowflake Royal Going to be one of those days where it just doesn’t come off, isn’t it.

If the roles were reversed we'd be saying the equaliser is inevitable.
