Re: Welcome back Brian?

Why get rid of a manager without having a replacement lined up? I agree with the sentiment, but assume that they had the majority of their "customer" base calling for his head based on Fulhamgate, and then continued poor results, so decided to bow to that pressure and then take time in se...

Re: Royals Uncovered charity calendar

TheWhisper So far I have seen Nick Blackman, Orlando Sa, Gareth McCleary and Danny Williams.
The first 2 won't be here at the end of next year

If this is a 2016 calendar, then, by definition, it will expire end of next year anyway

Re: Mikele Leigertwood and Jimmy Kebe

Kebe played just 15 games after he left us. As a 31 year old you'd suspect he's lost some pace and is nowhere near fit. Rather than offer to return was it more like he begged us to take him ? Great to watch in his prime, but Kebe without his pace is just a bloke. Not sure what he would add to the t...

Hopeful I have never seen a cabbage (wet or otherwise) sacked from a football management role.

you haven't lived

Not seen a carrot pilot a cruise ship around the Bay of Biscay either. I know, a sheltered life.

0-1 Gunter in the 82nd minute. Looking forward to getting back to this thread after the match, with a "told you so" message, then receiving the obligatory "did you put money on it?" responses. I will then say "yes, a tenner", just so I don't look foolish, when in fact I...

Cheers HSSC

It's been awhile - but I do keep an eye on the Board on occasion, looking for insightful, well-thought-out and interesting threads which can trigger good debate. Not seen so much of that recently

Re: RUMOUR - Norwood to Swansea

Clarke turns down Fulham (knowing job ready and waiting for him at Swansea) Swansea get rid of Monk Swansea go for Clarke Clarke wants some of key current squad and as stated his preferences to Swansea already Blackman will be next.....then Vydra...... Is this how rumours are started? Luckily this i...

Re: Who Replaces Sa

It will be HRK to play up top in a two with Vydra. HRK seems to be Clarkes first choice from the bench at the moment in the striking department and Blackman has played well in the attacking winger role, which should work well with HRK being able to cover him when he overlaps. Lets hope that HRK sti...

Re: Things to enjoy when watching Reading FC

Having a slim chance to see a truly memorable team goal or individual goal. We all remember those (as they are few and far between) but shockers or howlers less so. This season will be confined to the same store cupboard as previous terrible seasons (TB1/2). But we look back fondly at the great seas...

Re: Things that annoy you when you watch Reading

oxf*rd me this thread is more depressing than a Telegraph obituary. Stop moaning or piss off and watch Arsenal, our club is cringey, accept it, get over it and support the team. And for god sake stop trying to make us into something different, no every club can be like Leeds  Clue was in the t...

Re: Things that annoy you when you watch Reading

Fans who leave before the final whistle....not the fact they leave, that doesn't bother me at all unlike some on here as I am sure they have their reasons, but just concentrate on leaving rather than watching the match as you shuffle past me. Fans who can't get the right players when they are shouti...

Re: Summer Tour

If Bendy is up for driving the minibus again, I'll be IN!!! for this. Have just printed out the directions as they will be a great help - thanks Tmesis. Say we get a 16 seater but only take 12 people, that would allow for a couple of seats to be used as beds during the journey. If you are up for th...

104 Upper. I had assumed "Upper" was a premium layout bed, with a free bar and a massage at half time. Is that not the case? I can see why you chose that username. Spin off thread "M a ssage to hopeful"? Well remembered FL. Better check with 2-0 if there is a thread to start, al...

Re: Semi final tickets?

Sorted online at 11am.
Couldn't get block 120 which has been highlighted in other posts as being not available, which wasn't that clear when ordering online, so got another and don't really care as long as I am there.
It was easy to do plus no queuing. Recommend this method for other STHs.
